Hi bold hunter’s . One should know how to properly use ghost hunting equipment. Below is a general list of equipment one should try and use during a good ghost investigation.
1) Pen and paper - to take notes of your observations and experiences.
2) Flashlight - to see where you are going
3) Camera - digital or 35mm (digital typically catches more dust orbs)
4) Infrared Sensor - to detect movement
5) EMF Meter - to detect electro-magnetic fields created by ghosts
6) Electronic Thermometer - to detect sudden temperature changes by ghostly activity
7) Video Camera - provides another "witness" of activity to back-up other equipment.

Greetings Olivia, welcome to the forums.
Thanks for the info. There are many items our members have informed us about equipment used to capture evidence.
It is felt that spirits need large amounts of energy to materialize, getting it from people making them feel tired, draining batteries etc, I was concidering if we could isolate the type of energy they "use" one could produce a generator to aid in giving the spirit what it needs to materialize. Only problem I feel strongly about that keeps me from investigating and developing such a generator is that since we really don't know what could come through, it may be one of those things where you could produce a portal for demon entry. |

Hi Olivia,
I would say that the video camera (of whatever quality) is top of the list. Nowadays we need evidence and visual documentation is the most credible. Any ghost hunter virgins could try a Sony DCR SR290E for about 300 quid. Great NV mode that is perfect for flushing out the corners of dark rooms. |

Sounds like you have some experience under your belt Tom.
Do you have any video/photos you'd like to share? |

Hmmm, have some stuff but not what I'd call conclusive yet...just orbs etc. Not massively keen on posting stuff that most people will just rubbish straight away as it will lessen the impact of things I get in the future...if you know what I mean. Trying my best though!!! Have met up with some like-minders recently in London and we are going to hit some long night vigils in a few places. Anything good and I will post in a flash!!! |

I can understand not posting.
It is easy for someone to put a kabash on the photos!
Keep us posted on your "vigils".
Would love to hear of your findings. |

YB you are 100% correct, I built such a unit about 5 years ago and have never used it on an investigation for that purpose. I have used it to light tube lights from several feet away though LOL. I also believe there is a way to generate not just generic energy (batteries, etc), like this one does but a way to tune into the exact frequency response and energy output needed by a particular entity. IMO it's way to dangerous though and could in theory open a gate to not just ghost, demons, etc but rather extra dimensional entities (watchers, aliens, angels, all or any of the above, call them what you will but we are not ready for that type of contact IMO)
BTW Paigebiy-- you will find that the people on this board are a bit more friendly than other boards, even when we debunk a photo here we never issue insults or accusations and everyone gets a valuable lessen in what to look for :) |

Would it be possible to have an area that you could contain the generators energy.
As in a enclosed room, that this energy cannot escape or penetrate through?
I'm curious to what a "watcher" is? |

LOL a "watcher" is a name given by some UFO researchers to describe the "alien" or extradimensional beings who as some believe simply observe us.
As for the generator, the energy containment would not be the real problem, in fact you could just shut off the machine if things started going crazy. The problem is we have no way of knowing how much or how little an entity could absorb and what the ramifications could be of that kind of interference on our part. We have much more to learn before trying such a thing IMO. I'll see if I can get a pic of the generator posted some time soon. |

Thanks, that is good to hear...and it certainly seems a lot more - shall we say - 'open ' than many of the other sites. Well yteh good news is that with 2 vigils down that seemed to pass without anyone being injured in teh dark, I am starting to put a website together that I will post our findings on. Not sure what to call it yet...but I promise to keep you guys informed first. AND we have more vigils in teh pipeline - long as we get permission granted by the various owners. Tom. |
