Hi Guys
30 year old British guy here (Living in Poland now). Just want to say hello and also share an experience or two that we (myself and fiancee), have had in our flat in Warsaw.
I moved to Warsaw in November 2008 and while I've always been open minded on all things Supernatural, I've never before experienced anything untoward. However since moving to the flat we have had a series of strange instances, all centred around our Bathroom and all involving objects disappearing.
Myself and my fiancee share house duties and about 8 months ago, we were both cleaning the Bathroom. One of the chrome handles from our sink tap got knocked off as I was cleaning it and myself and my girlfriend both heard it hit the floor. However to our complete amazement WE COULD NOT FIND IT. Our Bathroom is tiny and no more than 2m square, there are no gaps, cracks or crevices anywhere and no objects it could have fallen behind (The floor was completely uncluttered). The tap is of the large round "knob" type and could not fall under the mats for example as it would leave a lump and besides which, we turned them over and have removed and cleaned them since. THIS TAP HEAD HAS NEVER RETURNED.
Since then, numerous objects have completely disappeared including our bath plug, a full canister of deodorant and other small items. THESE ITEMS HAVE ALSO NEVER RE-APPEARED. Neither of us is responsible and we have not had guests at the times these things go missing. Additionally, no-one apart from myself or girlfriend has access to our flat.
Any ideas what is happening here???? We know that the flat was unoccupied for 6 months prior to us moving in and that the previous tenant, an elderly guy, died in the flat. Does anyone know if there may be some connection between the guy dying in the flat and the disappearing objects???
Anyway cheers and hello all

Thanks GavKnight
Coventry eh? Spent 6 years in Birmingham before moving to Warsaw. This phenomenon is clearly not unique as a google search for "disappearing objects at home", throws up more than 12million articles however, satisfactory explanations are less rife.
Explanations range from spirits, collapsing matter, slightly less plausible elves, fairies and "borrowers" or the completely churlish and extremely unhelpful, "You haven't looked properly" Hoping some of the members on here may have some ideas. |

Yeah i've heard alot of accounts of things disappearing, i've heard that quite often they reappear some time later and people are sure they've looked in thee place they've reappeared in and thy weren't there. I spent a couple of years living in birmingham before moving back to cov, actually i've had some pretty strange experiences in brum with the paranormal. As for things disappearing, i've not really looked into this kind of phenomena so you probably know more about it than what I do. Is this the only thing that happens in your flat or have you had any more experiences |

Welcome to the forums Martin, sounds like quite an experience.
I would suspect it is some spirit trying to get your attention or is amusing itself. If all this happens in the bathroom, I would suggest going in there and asking politely if they would please return the items they "borrowed". Let us know what if anything happens in the days that follow. |

hi robbo, your story sounds very much the same as what went on in my mums house when we were younger, we had 2 spirits in our house and one of them used to hide things, sometimes things we were useing at the time so they would be there one minute and gone the next, it would always be something small like a hair brush
this happened a lot when we ignored the fact we had a spirit guest in our house, but when something went missing all we did was say " we know your there, can you please return what you have took"
and 9 times out of 10 it was always returned a couple of days later, but never where it was took from, it reapeared on top of my mums wardrobe lol
you should try this yourself, and look in odd places like the top od wardrobes cuboards things like that, you never know, worth a try lol |

Hi Guys. Been without internet connection for a week or two so only just catching up with replies now. Flossy and YB, the situation is still ongoing with my bathroom and the latest thing to disappear was my house keys.... In the last couple of weeks I made the mistake of leaving them on top of the small washing machine we have in there and yep, they've done a bunk (Washing machine has been pulled out and inspected inside and behind). Pretty stupid really but I guess I was still in the "Is this really happening?" stage. Now myself and fiancee have a definite "no valuable items left in the bathroom" policy.
I will try your suggestion of asking for them back and acknowledging the spirit's presence. Hope these items return as one of the keys lost is of an unusual lock type and as the land lady is expecting two sets back when we leave, this will cost about 150 zloty (35 UK pounds)to replace!! |

Just thought I'd let you all know that we have now politely asked for our things back, saying we don't mind them being borrowed but please return them. To leave nothing to chance, I asked in English while my girlfriend asked in Polish - He/She may not speak English!!! Will keep you all informed if anything returns..... |

There's one valuable item you do need to leave in there, and that's a hidden camera. I suspect you'll be quite shocked by the result. |

That would be interesting to see what the camera would catch. |

the only problem with putting a camera in there is if the camera itself disappears lol |
