Of the strange experiences that I've had this is probably the most unsettling.

I woke up one morning last year to find a quantity of blood in the bed.

I'm a single guy and there was no one else there. In those days I slept nude. I didn't appear to have any wounds and there was no smearing on my body. The blood was in two patches, one about 20cm from the pillow and the other perhaps a little under 1m from the pillow, both towards the very edge of the bed. It wasn't a large amount, not life threatening or anything like but enough to soak the sheet and go through. I'd say that each little pool was between 6 and 10cm.

This happen to anyone else?

I don't know who's doing your washing...

woof woof's washing tips...

I used cool soapy water, hand soap not clothes / fabric washing soap, then lots of rinsing with cool water. That seemed to do a reasonable job so I then had a go at the matras with cool soapy water on a cloth (rinsing the cloth regularly) and it cleaned up quite well but it's less important as it's under the bottom sheet and out of sight. Next I went back to the sheets and did a cool hand wash in the sink. I then put the sheets on the line outside to dry. They looked fine to me. After their next machine wash you'd never know the stain was there. If blood really dries in it's more of a problem and really hot water is not good either but get onto it asap with cool soapy water and you should be ok unless it's delicate fabric and you rub the top off or spoil the colour. Even if blood has really dried in cool water and soap and then a soak in soapy water or a fabric cleaner, preferably a liquid one, will probably get the fabric into a usable state even if not completely clean. Don't use a hair dryer or anything hot on a blood stained matras to dry it once you've had a go at it as you'll bake any remaining bloodstain in and then you'll probably not get it out. Leave it to air dry and if the stain is still there repeat the cool water and soap process, again asap.

Either I'm in touch with my feminine side or all these years of being single and looking after animals has taught me a thing or two.

Anyway, the two blood stains made me think that it must have come from a hand or at least have been transferred by a hand from my mouth if I'd bitten my tongue or from somewhere a little more personal if I'd had some sort of bleed as a hand is probably the only part of my body which could have been in the two different positions as I slept but there was no blood to be seen on me so I really can't say where it came from, no bitten tongue, no torn nail or anything and no discharge from anywhere personal. I've had bruises which I couldn't fully explain before but we all knock ourselves and forget and I've only had the one odd night time bleed.

It probably isn't a truly paranormal event but it was unsettling for me.
