Hi there all,
i'm always thinking of new and exiting things to do and I have had an idea, were all here, skeptics, fence sitters, beleivers ect so why dont we try some activities.
I am considering somehow to do a live weigy board here using a quartz point instread of a glass.
I dont know exactly how it might work but likley I will set up the board and then post my questions here, live as I ask them. Any others could also take part and enter questions into the tread.
I understand that some may not like the idea and there would be risks, I would be inviting the spirits to make themselves known to all participating members of WOG inculding myself.
I dont think this has ever been attempted?? |

Hi Flossy,I was thinking to do it at a freinds but if he's not up for it then yes I will do it alone here at my house with my laptop at hand. I was also thinking that no one would consider this prof even if we got replys so to let every one know that I was not teasing I would film myself asking the questions and entering them into the forum. Then upload to my Youtube, not a bad idea.
This could be quite exiting.
I read that a quartz point is an older and more traditional way of asking questions then a glass and so more likley to apaese the spirits.
It's not tonite but after seening what a few more think then I shall begin and plan the time. |

You could do it live on livestream agentscott, but I don't think I will participate as I have heard too many bad things about them - example: the exorcist is based on a true story of a Jesuit boy who became possessed by demonic entities after using a Ouji board |

Just to say it's just an idea so no one has to do anything unless they like too. But there might be an opertunity for some answers to the paranormal.
I must agree with Cactus here though, they do seem a little scary, the first sign of trouble i'd be hitting the goodbye like lighting, but I think with a script and a few questions there shouldn't be anything bad.
Though I agree they are scary the curiousity out weighs it for me. |

they do have a bad reputation but personally i think thats all it is
some people just see them as a toy, think about it if they were that dangerous then why do they sell them in toy stores |

Good luck Agentscott. Why not try this - first of all do the Ouija board with fingers on the quartz point and see if you 'contact' the spirits - if you do...great, the ideomotor effect has been proven once again.
Then try it with no one touching the quartz point - see if the spirits communicate then and I'll put money down on you getting zero communications.
Finally ask yourself - how come it only works when people are touching the quartz point/glass?.

Hi DB, thanks, I will try that.

Or you can also blindfold yourself and record it with the camera pointing at the board - I believe the majority of the time it is nothing supernatural, so if it doesn't move it is not proof that they do not work - although I know DB would say 'argument from ignorance' |

Thats another idea but for the first time ever i'd prefer to be able to see, At the moment I am trying to find a good board desing, as i will be using a crystal so i need to know how long the string should be and how far apart the letters will have to be, to be honest a glass seems easier but to modern, I will go with the ancient technique.
I might have to film so the camera can see the lappy with WOG and the board. As I ask the questions I will type them and then pick the point up reapeating if neccacary.
I could atempt it ofline and upload to Youtube but that will be a bit boring. |

I think that if it was possible to channel spirits simply by having a board with the alphabet on it in front of you and talking, half the internet would be possesed everynight (assuming some spirits can read qwerty) so I'm assuming their will be a bit more to tha just a pendulum and board? Forgive my ignorance agentscott but do you have mediumistic tendancies yourself or are you empolying some other technique to invitie contact? I am a big fan of the live streaming concept myself though, which provider will you be ususing to stream or do you have something bespoke? |
