thats shocking, youd think they would wait till one of you were there, especailly like you say for his first bath
on the plus side, i bet a nice bath made him feel good
im counting the days for you till he gets home |

Wifey was really upset flossy.
Thing is, even though ive not been working, my body keeps trying to get back on its "night shift" so im up till at least 6am, sleep till 1pm with my last count at 36 hours no sleep, seriously does my head in.
We should of been rang, we live exactly 5 miles from the hospital and can be there in 10 minutes(around six if Im driving).
Last week, to put my time at night to better use, I went and stayed with him with the intention of having cuddles, nice quiet ward and me and my son snuggled up warm in a chair.
Nurse knew of my intentions and why I was there but he was tube fed before i could get him out, so I left him for an hour while his milk settled and eventually got him out, I was told by some ward sister to put him back, not allowed to pick him up making a rod for my own back, and I should move his cares forward when in fact they were done an hour before.
I was absolutley fuming and nearly in tears, 12 months ago I would of lamped her for telling me that. The unit is very contact orientated and any time holding a child has been proven to aid in recovery, but their she was telling me to put him back. All the nurses who found out were shocked afterwards.
The doc's jave given him a release date, a week on thursday. He will be coming home on oxygen and gets visits every day from a nurse to adjust if need be.
I cant wait till hes home, wondering what the cat will do, shes a bog softy and has had loads of his clothes for his scent. |

He is finally home!
Came home yesterday around dinner time, had the oxygen installed the day before.
Has done fine, kept me awake this morning so we watched road wars on sky.
Spends most of his time taking in all the new sights especially the cat! |
