Flossy, the friction produced by moving an object on hard wood flooring would be significantly less than that produced on carpet, when moving furniture around, i was glad to get it in the spare room as it has wodden flooring which made it easier to move on my own.
This would be an advantage if it was a draught that had moved the bear, a draught could also explain the chair rocking due to the surface area of the back(im presuming it has a back of course) and the small surface area in contact with the floor.

Most Haunted wasnt filming in the area were they? We know how they like there fishing wire.

Perhaps the teddy bear was letting you know he wanted to sit on the chair instead of the floor.

Any leaks of water any where? If it was cold at floor level, ice could form and the bear moved as it slid over it. Long shot but a possibility.

there was no water near the teddy and the stool is a small one with no back

This is all very unusual. Like someone else mentioned, these sorts of things can't be explained away very well. Honestly, I'd say it was a poltergeist. I've heard that many poltergeists are entirely benign - they are cheeky spirits.

Please keep us informed of any more goings on :)

Typical Poltergeist activity usually has a very short but intense shelf life Flossy. If it was genuine Polt activity I would have expected a few more 'incidents' by now. I don't think there's anything to be overly concerned with.
