The entity that proclaimed to be Fred certainly hung around for a good while. However Fred was not properly investigated or tested by impartial unbiased researchers but by Maurice Grosse and Guy Playfair. Their methodology and conclusions were undoubtably coloured by their pre-existing belief in the afterlife.

A lot of the Enfield thing was glamourised but certain individuals, but there were interesting areas there too. Poor kids. Poor mother. I can asure you the research into the area of psychical investigation is a whole lot deeper than some activity in a house that was on tv. But a good referance point. |

That's true Db the investigators I guess did have pre-existing beliefs etc... but that doesn't make the activity any less real - there were a lot of witnesses in that case.

To be honest, without being there and having first hand experience of the situation it would be hard to say, but even then I'd be frusrated as to whether I was contemplating the situation from a correct standpoint. |
