The people under the stairs & the rise & rise of people who truly believe that hatred & rigid thought is not just a human right, but also something worth fighting, campaigning, evangelising for. |

There is an old Arab proverb. That says something similar to.."The ways to God are as many & varied, as the breaths of the sons of man." I have always taken this to mean that there are more right ways to be spiritually right. More ways to be religiously correct. More ways to lead a good life, than ever we can imagine, let alone know.
And in part yes that includes fundamentalists. But it also includes those who see conspiracies everywhere & those who deny spirituality or gods of any type.
Everything we know or believe could be wrong & the deeper our belief in truth as an absolute. The more I believe we have to learn. |

If you are implying you are ex army or currently employed the the armed services we may then have something in common Dee Bunquer as I too am ex airborne infantry 3rd battalion L.I, back in the day. I too have had some (lets say) special moments, during special moments we shall not mention here. I have also been a qualified mountaineering instructor and senior water sports instructor, which is to say I have taken part in most dangerous sports.. sky diving to cave diving.
But what realy gets me is jumping off an object from a hight into water. This is due to seeing a guy jump from a bridge into a canal and landing on a steel pole under the water. Very messy and the guy died shortly afterwards. Since then I can barely jump into water even if I can see the bottom? Odd. |

KiloCharlie I agree.
To have consentrated belief in one direction is futile. It is important to imagine all possibilities, as our perception of the wider picture is miniscule in comparison to the whole. How shallow of us to consider we can comprehend an over view, this is why I will consider anything and everything. For me the God consept is just part of a wider picture. |

I'm not a person that dwells on the world ending, I worry about Yellowstone blowing up but that's only because my Mom is in the USA. I keep nagging her to get a passport incase the shit hits the fan Lol!
I get a bit paranoid about some kinda super flu though. I think I've read The Stand too many times. :) |

mailorderchild, lol I never worry about the world ending - if it happens, it happens - who gives a shit
The most likely way it would end would be WW3. A Nuclear War - there is a quote of Einsteins that I like about WW3
''I do not know with what weapons World War III will be fought with, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.''
