This is not the old grainy picture of Cydonia, this is from a newer image of Cydonia taken by the ESA, it hasn't gotten as much attention and it has been forgotten about by pretty much everyone:

LOL, Pareidolia. Those images could be anything you want them to be. Same process could be applied to naturally occurring geographic features that have been subjected to wind erosion on Earth.

Agreed but, the dome in the center of that crater is the most interesting because that is not likley erosion of rocks as a formation must have formed in a crater and thats imposible.

Cactus - have you seen the most recent image of that face or are you looking at the one taken in the 70's?. It looks nothing like a face when imaged at a higher resolution.

Erosions happens but is 30 years really enough to wipe the face of Mars? Sounds a bit fast. |

reconstructions of what it would have looked like show that it was a massive structure in the form of a face - it is gigantic - looks perfect for somebody in the future (like us) looking at the surface of mars from birds eye view |

We already have connections with ancient people possibly being involved with aliens who seem to enjoy ariel patterns. (the Incan lines)
Crop circles too. |
