The earth spirit cycle makes more sense and their are loads of cases of reincarnations. But even when people recall past events in past lives and they are proved to be correct in their memmories even this is dismissed. How much evidence do you need.

There are also loads of cases where people have reported seeing Mermaids, Faeries and the Virgin Mary but that doesn't mean that these people have experienced objective truth. I've studied Reincarnation at length and even the most convincing cases that are cited time and time again can be shown to be nothing more than the product of the human mind from people with various cognitive conditions such as Fantasy Prone Personality and MPS.
How much evidence do I need?. I'm sure my definition of evidence and yours are different Will. I don't consider anecdotes as valid evidence for a start.

How you interpret your experiences is a complex process. What you interpret as a ghostly Monk (for example) I may interpret as a shadow moving due to a light source that's out of sight.
I base my opinions and beliefs on a combination of facts, science, empirical data and personal experience. For example, I spend a lot of time outdoors, often at night in relatively remote locations, so I tend to observe the sky quite a lot and see phenomenon that many people would interpret as UFOs (AgentScott Very Happy). I've also studied Astronomy from an early age and have read many books on human cognition and how our senses can quite easily fool our brains. I've also spent time in places that are allegedly 'haunted' - with cameras, recording equipment, talc and warm clothing. I've seen first hand, many times, how people can psyche themselves up
into believing in ghosts and poltergeists. I've done numerous Ouija board sessions and have lived in supposedly haunted houses and worked in haunted buildings. I spent years believing in ghosts and the afterlife - reading every book on the subject I could lay my hands on.
I have a bit of personal experience Smile I've seen, felt and heard what I thought at the time were ghosts, bigfoot, poltergeists and lake monsters.

In other words no personal experiences.I think your dismissive attitude to peoples experiences hides the jealousy of being unable to experience anything yourself."I will believe it when i see it". Hench going out at night to remote locations and spending times in haunted houses. I dont go in search of ghosts. But every now and again i come accross them. I have removed a spirit from a house, recieved messages from dead people to give to living people, spoken to numerous people who have seen things. In some cases spoken to a number of people who have witnessed the same event.I think i have enough peronal evidence to prove to myself whether you believe it or not.

I think dismissive is the wrong word Will. Dismissive means that something is unworthy of consideration - I looked, examined and considered your Ghost Bus post. I consider your theories in order to provide an answer - so dismissive - no, certainly not.
I'm not jealous of anyones experiences apart from that couple who won a hundred million on the Lottery this week.
I also believe in a great many things I've not seen - Barack Obama, Jupiter, The Great Wall of China. I've seen ghosts but don't believe in them.

I go out to remote locations because it's my job not because I want to see UFOs. I spent time in Haunted houses because I wanted proof that they were haunted.

You don't have to prove anything to anyone Will but posting your experiences on a public forum will invite agreement, disagreement and debate. If you believe and I'm open minded that's fine. Forums would be very boring places if everyone agreed with each other.

I did read it but i took it as sarcasim. I can see being jealous of the hundred million lottery win couple so we do agree on something lol.Its not a case of trying to find an answer what i told you about my experiences is true. What i saw was witnessed by others. I joined this site to share experiences not have to stand in the dock to prove anything. If you dont believe it thats up to you.I rest my case for the defence.

I believe you when you relate your experiences Will, I can only offer alternative ways of looking at them, I can't disprove them nor would I want to.
My specific area of interest in how and why people believe in the Paranormal, in ghosts, in UFOs and in things that science does not recognise. I believe that there are many things yet to be explained by science and life after death and the spirit world is one of them.

I understand where your coming from DB we both share an interest in the paranormal.I think that the majority of those people who believe in the paranormal believe so because of personal experience.I prefer to examine what they say and don't try to find some scientific answer but do try to see what similarities their are.I regard everyone who experiences something as a witness and i try to investigate the evidence they provide.

I concentrate more on people who experience out of the blue encounters. I agree you can get alot of people who want to see something. I would not listen to anyone who visits a haunted place as i thinked like you they are already in a changed mental state which is subseptable to suggestions of paranormal.I can sometimes pick up things from places without anyone mentioning anything. I prefer to work that way.You dont need expensive scientific equipment when your brain already has all the senses you need. To me it is just a question of using these senses but unfortunetly what you see hear and feel can not be used has scientific evidence.
