Surely, experimentation is a means to an end - what end?.
Colonisation?  If I wanted to colonise an ant colony I'd be able to do it pretty quickly. When 'the white man' colonised the Americas he managed it in less than a hundred years so what's taking the space aliens so long?.
Why not wipe us out with a super weapon?.

We can only listen to what people who claim to have been abducted tell us - if they really are being abducted (which I think is possible) all the above (ETs intentions) is complete speculation - maybe it is beyond our capability to understand their actions and motives.
But if you want to speculate, one thing that would seem obvious to me is that there could be many many races from many different places - some may want to just 'wipe us out', others may not let them; some may want to just observe us and not interfere in any way, while others may want to interfere (experiment etc) |

If 'some just want to wipe us out' why haven't they along the lines of Independence Day? and if others may not want to let them where's the evidence?.
You're doing the speculating Cactus - there's nothing wrong with speculation but speculation based on 'claims' and speculation without evidence is interesting but no goldfish
