I’m unsure on this one! I did have an imaginary friend when I was a child and I can clearly remember her. She was called Sarah and I always used to see her behind the shed at the bottom of our garden. I was a bit of a loner as a child so maybe she was just in my imagination but I can remember her as clearly as I can remember any of my childhood friends.

I can’t say for certain if she was a spirit or just my imagination. I remember she always wore a white dress (looked a bit like a nightgown) no matter what the weather was like. My parents used to laugh at me and say she was imaginary but it used to scare the living daylights out of my twin sisters when I would talk to someone that wasn’t there. I eventually saw less and less of her as I got older until I didn’t see her at all.

How many years did you have your 'friend'?
Once Quiver gets back, she'll probably hound you with questions of your imaginary friend. Laughing

Lol, that is fine :o)

I can't remember exactly. It feels like a couple of years at least. My mum and sisters still remember me talking and playing with her so I guess she must have been around a while. I will talk to my mum and ask her if she can remember.

is the shed still there at the bottom of the garden, if it is you should go down there with a camera see if you can get anything of her on film, she might be still there if it was a spirit

That sounds like a good idea Flossy! Only problem is that my parents have sold that house and moved away from there!

I do think that my mum has quite a few photos of the back garden though and I never thought to have a good look at them. Next time I am visiting I will dig out any old photos in the garden and have a good look.

Wouldn't it be something if you did find some photos that did 'show' something?
Can't wait!

i'm not too sure if a childs imaginary friend is really a ghost but, my brothers 2 year old son has been seen talking to thin air, when his mum asked who he was talking to he said grandad which was wierd as both his grandads are still alive but we do know for a fact that the house they live in is where my grandad died so we think it could be him, which would be cool as grandad passed away when i was little so i never got to know him.

we've tried asking about him but all we get is it's grandad he hasn't done it for a bit, but if he does it again we'll definitely ask him, however we'll have to be careful so as not to make him stop doing it
