Damar, can you elaborate on the story the ghost miners you saw? |
Basically i saw at the top of an old colliery the figures of some men walking to what would of been the opening of the shaft but it is sealed so dont know where they went upon checking it out but a few of us saw it at the time, but a lot of the locals have witnessed the same thing.....plus i have also found a link which explains te disaster

Of the 436 who died, only 72 bodies were recovered.
This happened in 1913 but the mine kept operating until 1928. Wonder why they never bothered to dig out the remaining miners.
The US is known for mine disasters in a large scale with much smaller loss of life. We had one near where I am back in the early 1900s with over 100 lost.
Coal mines are all over this area and still in operation since the early 1800's if not before.
I work on top of an old mine. Both shafts are located in the parking lot. They are all full of water. This was an old mining town. Never had a ghost encounter here that I ever heard of. I have been here 19 years. |

The website has a book, out of print but sounds like a good read. If you find it, let me know, I will pay postage and cost's to the US:
The Valley of the Shadow, John H. Brown, Alun Books (Port Talbot) 1981 ISBN 0 907117 07 4
John Brown has written what is probably the definitive book on the disasters, carefully studying the reports and witness accounts and finishing with a complete death-roll and an exhaustive bibliography. Sadly I believe that this book is long out of print. |

That's not that unusual, a lot of the time the mines became so unsafe that they couldn't get back in (or the areas flooded) There are literally hundreds of old mines dotted around South Wales, and I think they've all had their fair share of tragedy |

Here in my state of Pennsylvania, we, like South Wales have hundreds if not thousands of Coal mines and other type mines in the areas.. Most are flooded. |

he could hear tapping coming up to his room through the walls , it annoyed the crap out of him.
I did speak out last night but nothing stopped.
My sister is out of the house tonight so I am going to go and sleep upstairs to see if i notice anything up there. |

Been seeing a few recently. The garden centre in which I work is built on the site of a row of miners cottages. I'll often catch glimpse out of the corner of my eye of someone walking past. i even got out their way once, before realising they weren't physically there.
The other day I actually got a longer glimpse of someone walking towards me. They soon vanished again, but whoever's there is certainly gettinbg bolder!
Here's a pic of the area, not that there's much to see. Sorry for the quality, it was taken in a hurry...

Continuous tapping would grate my nerves as well.
Has anyone else in your family seen these flashes of lights?
If they are not leaving maybe they want to communicate with you.
Have you thought about placing pen and paper out for them?
Not sure it will work but what the heck.
Maybe by morning there may be something written on the paper. |

You both need to start taking more pictures till you capture something.. Might help find a solution to getting rid of them. |

i have seen several spirits, my home was almost like a half way house to them for yrs.
i have only seen two or 3 visually whilst the rest has been through the minds eye, but they certainly make themselves known to us in many ways xxx |
