Hi all fellow ghost hunting enthusiasts, my name is Saul and i am new to this forum.I have been into paranormal investigating for about two years now.Time ago i never believed in anything to this nature, until going one time with a camera to a graveyard messing around with my brother and caught a voice that wasn't there. Since catching that voice, it has been a big passion in my life to seek out more unexplained things, so much to an extent that i'm starting a video editing course at college this year, just so i can somehow get into that field of work at a professional level.

Between me a a few select friends of mine, i've started up a small ghost hunting group called PrivateParanormal.
We basically seek out abandoned and haunted places within or hometown of Preston, north-west, and conduct our own investigations.None of us in the group are psychic or anything like that, we go out to alot of these places and use straight forward ask out communication methods.We keep in mind that ghosts are people without a body, and talk civilised in nature when addressing them. Tho sometimes to entice a reaction, i do taunt, and this has been successful in the past.
We also dismiss alot of things and try to de-bunk as much as possible.

The main equipment i use on a investigation normally consists of camcorder, digital recorder, k2 meter, still camera and sometimes the spirit box....i'm soon acquiring a ovilus x device, so hopefully see if it can bring some positive results :)

Like i said, i'm from Preston in the north west and am really on this site to meet new people,hopefully from around my surrounding area, that share the same passion and interest.Within my group at the minute, there is only me that is really dedicated to know more about the paranormal, alot of my mates just tag along....so if there is any one that lives near Preston that's read this now, i'm looking to start up or join a group of like minded people that is as serious about paranormal investigating as i am....So if you have a space on your team for a keen, motivated, self experienced ghost hunter, or you would like to start a new group within the north-west(Preston), please get in contact with me. Your investigations sound good - I be over at Preston regularly for the car auction. Your ghost hunting group sounds good - I will check out the video now.

Cool man, i do keep a open mind but i do sit on the fence with a lot of things. If there's any other possible reason for something to happen on a investigation i usually except it.

What are your beliefs about ghosts/spirits?

I think my believes are that ghosts/spirits are people at the end of the day, for whatever reason they might be stuck in a location. Most of them in life, i think were emotional and strong minded people. Hencing why they may still be stuck in this existence or plain. Also as in life some are good and possibly need help and others are the opposite and evil and enjoy to mess with the living, or some mite not know there dead & still believe there living out there lives,jus as in a dream.No one can say for sure what actually is the truth about ghosts ect, but we all know their there... What are your beliefs?? Cool

I agree with nearly everything you said - but like you said, no-one really knows what they are. I do believe in different types too - example: intelligent and residual hauntings etc...

One thing I would disagree with is that they were all strong minded, as my Mum saw the ghost of a woman once, and my Granny knew the woman when she was alive, and she had certain mental health problems.

yes, i defo believe in intelligent and residual.Depending on if they even know they are dead or not, that could be residual.With intelligent, i believe they are trapped in some way of unfinished buissness, that's maybe why there conscience is still there,to communicate with the living.
When i said all strong minded, i meant in a sense of them beeing emotionally stong,they might of had problems,but in their own mind they knew strongly who they were as a person or existence Smile
