I suspect a lot of it is dust, as even though I pride myself on keeping a clean house, basements always seem to be dusty no matter what you do.
Even so, there are certain orbs that stand out. The property used to be on or near a Cree travel trail (so the story goes), so maybe there are many who pass through. At varying times I do readings and ritual, there are as few as one spirit or one time I got the number twenty so my gut feeling is that there is some sort of path going through our basement.
One of the photos I wish I'd kept was taken during Sash Testing. I was testing Colby, one of my youngest students on blocking. I pretended I was going to punch him (something we had practised ad nauseum so he knew what was coming) and he enthusiastically blocked me, returning the 'punch'. When the picture from the digital camera was downloaded into our computer there was about fifty or so orbs clustered all around myself and Colby, as if they were fluttering to his defense.
The next day I went down and told 'them' (and felt a bit foolish as I did so, lol) that it was all right, that the fighting wasn't real, that it was to teach defense, not to hit children. Since then, I've never had a cluster like that, even during grappling tests, where much more contact is made.
One pic taken during the grappling clinic was really interesting, though. It was a bright green orb, and always showed up close to the participants, as if keenly watching. Another orb (a usual white one) was seen outside of the room, so that I can safely say it wasn't dust stirred up by the action of the people in the room. |

A green orb.....I wonder what the significance is if any?
That is something to possibly look into.
What do your students think of their "audience"?
Have you ever used a recorder and asked questions?
I only ask cause I've seen it done on the T.V. show Ghost Hunters.

I'd love to look for EVPs, but haven't been able to come up with the money to get a recorder. It seems that something else always comes up I need to use the money for.
My students tend to take it in sptride. I'm not sure they even think about it much. It doesn't come up during class unless something loud bangs, and then they just laugh.
I'm not sure about the significance of a green orb, you're right I should look into it. |

Hi Xena, I read on one site that the colour of an orb may be the mood the ghost/spirit is in.
So that would mean yours is green with envy or jealous?
That was one site mind you and they made it out as a joke.
Life does get in the way sometimes when we would like to buy some 'play things' doesn't it?
It's great to see your students go with the flow.
I think you need to invite us all over for a sleep over
Your name fits you .....I checked out your website! |

LOL! Jealous, eh? That's funny.
Sure, come on over for a sleepover any time. We have plenty of room, just bring your own sleeping bags.
Thanks for visiting my site! I'm glad you liked it. Thanks, also, for the kind words. I actually did Lucy Laweless lookalike work for about 5 yearsduring the run of X:WP. The joke in my family is that it was nice of them to make a tv show about me. |

What a great hostess!
I didn't want to say that you resembled Lucy Lawless, thought you heard enough of that.
Now my question is...are you getting any royalties? |

Royalties...now there's a nice thought! Oh, how I wish that were true.
If you're an LL fan I have a good pic of me in my 'work clothes' (leathers) you may get a kick out of. I'm lounging on our couch right before going out to a lookalike job, and in full Warrior Princess regalia. If HTML is possible here, I can post it. If not, I'd be happy to send it to you by email if you like.
And how could anybody ever get tired of hearing they look like a celebrity? |

It's for my business. I teach women's self defense and Jeet Kune Do. the main site is:
www.amazonnation.ca
If you want to look at White Lion Martial Arts just go to the bottom of the main page and hit the link for it.
The pics are in the Gallery section of the main site. Enjoy! |

Not that I'm trying to solicit business, but I do teach via online methods if he's really keen to learn and you'd like to get him started. It's preferable to learn face to face, but it's possible to learn online if there's no other options and teh student is highly motivated.
Tenth Dan (black belt/sash degree) is the highest you can get. In our Kwoon it goes from white all the way up to black. Since Jeet Kune Do is based on Kung Fu, we use sashes instead of belts.
I've studied varying martial arts my entire life, starting in 1968. I hold mid to high ranking black belts in three disciplines. Tae Kwan Do, Jeet Kune Do and Tang Soo Do.
I am also a Sword Master and practitioner of Chin Na (pressure points). I roll all of this together to make my method of teaching, which is based heavily on Jeet Kune Do. This probably isn't the place to really go into all of that, though, so if anybody wants to learn more, you can email me or PM me. I don't want the admin to get mad at me for going so far off topic. |

Xena, YB mentioned one time (I'm sure it was him, my memory seems to fail me at times, old age I guess) to place pencil and paper in the home and see if the 'guests' write anything down.
In your case you have had him scribble in the tub, but maybe something else may show up. |
