Help. Scared stiff.

I want to start by saying just thinking about ghosts makes me all tense.

I am fifteen years old, quite mature for my age, and ever since I lived in my old house (where a lady threw herself down a well and died) I sometimes see people in windows. It started when I constantly saw people walk by my living room window but my family rubbished it. While living in this house, my mums brother died and she managed to contact him and he said he was keeping her daughter safe. My mum went for a pregnancy test and lo and behold, she was pregnant with a daughter. I also had very bad dreams in that house that I could not control, very personal dreams where I'd wake up and cry for hours on end.

I then moved to the house I live in now around 3 or so years ago and the man who lived in it before us is dead. If I am in the house alone I have to be in the living room beside the window so atleast I can look outside as I am scared stiff of not being able to see the outside world. The only problem is above me in the living room is my brothers room and me and my mum can always hear foot steps (very loud) even when no one else is in. When I walk in the room I can't bear to look in and I get a very weird sensation when I quickly step in and out to get an xbox game, as if when I step out someone is chasing me or even pulling me back. This is the same room where music would play randomly, even when the iPod was locked, on the loudspeakers. I really hate living here and I am scared stiff of what really is happening on ''the other side''. Am I just scared of death, ghosts or nonsense?

Welcome to the forum Bhoy!

Sounds like you have an active house.
(Footsteps, music playing randomly)

Do you want these spirits to leave or are you
willing to live with them?
If you want them to go try asking them to leave nicely.
Or find out more information on the man who died and see if he just wants to communicate with you and the family.
Who knows maybe he's just lonely.

These are just ideas Bhoy I'm not saying that this will work.

First off, Ghost cannot harm you, sounds like they just want to communicate with you anyway they can. Nothing to be afraid of. Most of us here would love to have a active house like yours.

I've spent the night in a haunted prison looking for such things as well as in grave yards.

Look at it this way, there are those of us that would trade places with you in an instant.

If they still bother you, next time this stuff starts up, ask them out loud AND POLITELY to please leave you alone. Most times this is all that is needed. Keep us updated on your situation. We will help as much as we can.

bitter is right, most the time they just want ackowledgement that you know they are there, if you ask politly for them to leave you alone thats all it may take

YB is right, though it does not sound like you have anything to worry about, if you don't want them around just ask them to leave or to leave you alone. In some cases ghosts have no idea that they are scaring anyone they just want to communicate and the only way seems to be through simple interactions. It is speculated that it takes a lot of energy for most ghosts to interact with this reality. So in short I would not worry about being harmed by any of it, after all, you may be the ghost to them.

Thanks guys. I've tried it before but I only whispered. I may say out loudly next time I have the guts to walk in the room. I think I may ask my brother if he wants to have an EVP session first which I think I may be up for although don't worry, I will stay clear of the ouji board! :D It was just that I have no problems sleeping in my room but it's just my parents room and my brothers room I can just feel so much energy even when I walk by it and obviously the playing music, footsteps etc.

Interesting, have you had any other strange experiences, dreams etc before this?

Yep deffo sounds like ghostly activity. As bitter said they cant harm you, it just sounds like there active with the footsteps and music playing. What you could do is try and make contact (no ouija board, there dangerous as you probably know) but talk to them and see if they talk back. If they do ask them why they are there, and if you are really scared stiff ask them politley to leave there sure to do so.

YB is right, 99% of spirits/ghosts are perfectly safe. All you have to fear is fear it's self. You need to understand what spirits and ghosts are and you will find that they can not harm you and there really isn't anything to be scared of.

i totally agree with andy on this one. If you can get over the fear of fear you have nothing to be afraid. Just remember that it is safe to make contact with ghosts as mostly all of them cant harm you.

Just came back out. I walked in and asked if anyone was there but there was no answer but I could still feel that presence. I told whatever was there that they were scaring me and asked them politely to leave. That is when something weird happened, I felt really cold and all of a sudden it was normal again and I didn't feel the presence. I don't know if it worked or if I am just feeling things because of my fear but I'll see how it goes.
