There have been a number of high profile Americans, including one or two presidents, if I recall. But, as they've had a 'B' movie actor and a peanut farmer in the Whitehouse, how much credit should we give U.S. claims?
And as for the Moon 'landings'... . Now there's another contentious issue Did we really land there, or not Having seen so-called 'footage', the coin could land either way. Sceptics would point to movies like 'Moonraker' and 'Capricorn One' to suggest that the 'lunar surface' was mocked up on a set. Personally, I couldn't care either way. |

There are so many great bits in that film, it's hard to say which is my favourite. BTW, doesn't Homer Simpson think the universe is doughnut-shaped? The most memorable things I've seen through a telescope are planets. My favourite is Saturn. But Jupiter's interesting too. Without one I have witnessed four eclipes [3 lunar, 1 solar], 2 comets, 2 meteor showers.... .
Thanks for the links, Cactus, I'll have to check them out Boy, Alex has got it on him, hasn't he!? Probably not enough 'romance in his soul' I would like to think we have been to the Moon. I think there's plenty of evidence to say we've landed there. And I'm sure we will get to Mars before the century's out.
It would help in a UFO did land on the White House lawn, though. Or even outside the Capitol, as in 'Mars Attacks'. I wonder why they don't? Do you think aliens might be publicity shy? I wish some of our so-called 'celebs' were. |

Well Sarah, There is much ridicule involving ET's, thats how most people react straight away, thats how 'they' want peole to react, they have done a very good job, so well done to the secret holders.
A truth can be easily lost once its denyed and out in the crowds of people who have been trained into not beleiving this sort of thing by our modern ways. We have been almost hearded into this accepting only mainstream as fact and many are so far gone they cant see otherwise.
More people need to start asking the right people the right questions on a mass scale, demanding answers.
There are many blured imiges and they are usually blured for a good reason, they are fakes or planted miss imformation but there are certenly loads of other shots that are not faked and debunkers are unable to explane away clear as day.
To make the matters worse still eome people are most likley paid to ridicule the scene and make it even less beleiverble as they did with crop circles, they got a few students and funded them to make crop circles but at the same time genuine circles were poping up.
I don't fully know the extent of what lenghts 'they' are prepared to go to to cover this scene(the entire paranormal and spiritualness) but I fear a very long way.
Most UFO's are seen at night because of the nature of how the craft operates, they use antigravity and electro magnetism which is a very real science, denyed of course, and this reactes with the surrounding air showing up paticually well at night. |

ALEX LOCKWOOD, I don't give credit to every single 'credible' person who makes these claims - an example would be John Lear who was a top Pilot and a pilot for the CIA, but his claims are just too outlandish for me. Although funnily enough wikipedia keeps taking down his profile for some reason (we know what agentscott will think ) But it is strange - heres his fathers page which mentions him:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Lear
But I DO give credit to astronauts - I mean they are the elite; both physically and mentally robust.
I do believe we landed on the moon, and I do care. |

HENUT-TEPY, I am planning to get a good telescope in the future (with a camera connected in case any of our friends fly by when I'm looking ) and maybe join an amateur astronomy club or just learn a bit about it, to be able to identify certain flying objects that I might otherwise think were aliens.
Yeah I was disappointed when Obama scrapped the plan to go to Mars after him promising it in the run up to his election, but oh well
He got a good reception though when he was over here yesterday; I laughed when his car hit the bump
There has been a lot of theories and speculation as to why the aliens don't just make their presence known to the entire human race, but as I don't believe for sure yet, I don't really get into that.
As for blurry images; it has been virtually accepted that no image will ever be evidence of aliens/ufos being real (It will only be useful as personal proof for the one who took the footage, and those who believe and trust him/her) because of CGI etc... Here is footage of a UFO which shows aliens inside, taken by a Surgeon:

We don't know whether UFOs are real let alone their operating mechanisms. Antigravity is a pseudoscience but electromagnetism is fully understood.
IMO most UFOs are seen at night because that's when the stars come out and aircraft lights are switched on.
IF we are being visited by highly advanced space aliens I would have thought they would have some kind of cloaking device in place to mask the fact that they're whizzing around the skies abducting people, mutilating livestock and doing their advanced drivers test over some of the most populated areas of our planet.

Yes I do ive seen them. Just like you've seen your textbooks and science journals and know that they are the one and only.
DB I thought you was younger, you dont look in your 50's. |

I've seen the Large Hadron Collider but I don't know how it works. How can you be so sure that these lights are powered by anti-gravity drives, they might be powered by some unimaginably exotic propulsion system that we've no comprehension of. Science textbooks and the theories in them have evolved and have been tested and re-tested until we know the theories are pretty much correct.
I'm not in my 50's I'm in my forties

Maybe theres more than one alternative propoltion system.
They said that there was a lack of instrumentation and perhaps controlled by their very minds.
Opps sorry. |

"cloaking device"
Are you a closet Trekkie, DB? Don't tell me you go to their conventions dressed as Spock, telling everyone how "illogical" they are being?! It would explain a lot.
The reason why they don't "make their presence known", Cactus, is because they are hiding behind DB's "cloaking device". This is so we don't see them when
"they're whizzing around the skies abducting people, mutilating livestock and doing their advanced drivers test over some of the most populated areas of our planet."
You see, DB does have an imagination, after all Although it doesn't cover the Hadron Collider and anti-gravity.
Obama on Mars, Cactus? I'd pay good money to see that. Especially if Hilary Clinton was conducting negotiations. Couldn't do any worse than that lot in 'Mars Attacks' (I saw it too, Henut) |

Good telescopes can be really expensive. Mine is a pretty basic one, but does the job. I'm not in a club, incidentally. I saw Jupiter and Mars through an observatory one, btw. In Vienna, I think it was.
You might be interested in this link, Agentscott and Cactus, re 'anti-gravity':
http://www.dvice.com/archives/2011/05/does-antimatter.php
The article is dated 2 May 2011. I think DB should read it too, as it concerns CERN. Below is an extract:
"Scientists at CERN have announced that they've been able to trap 309 atoms of antihydrogen for over 15 minutes. This is long enough that soon, they'll be able to figure out whether antimatter obeys the law of gravity, or whether it's repelled by normal matter and falls "up" instead. It would be antigravity, for real."
"the team at CERN should be able to put the debate to rest within a couple months"
It's linked to something called 'antimatter', whatever that is. And appears to work a bit like magnets repelling one another. The Maglev train uses...'electromagnetic repulsion'? Or is it 'suspension'? Or both? In order to create levitation and propulsion.... As I said, I'm not very technical. Anyway, here's a site on it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maglev_(transport)#Electromagnetic_suspension |

For now
HENUT-TEPY, Ill not be spending any more than 200 or 300 for a telescope. I'm not sure what zoom etc I can get for that, but it will have to do. |
