But eventually you have to get a balance, a perspective that forces you to question why you believe and to look at why sceptics are...sceptics.

I'm a sceptic that used to be a believer. There are worse sceptics that never believed.

Approaching the paranormal from a research perspective is often difficult because of the lack of acceptable physical evidence from most of the purported phenomena. By definition, the paranormal does not conform to conventional expectations of the natural. Therefore, a phenomenon cannot be confirmed as paranormal using the scientific method because, if it was, it would no longer fit the definition. Despite this contradiction, studies on the paranormal are periodically conducted by researchers from various disciplines.

Very true Cactus. We can only measure what we know - everything else is speculation.

But it isn't speculation that I saw an unknown strange object in the sky that flew past - which I am not saying was definitely alien, and it isn't speculation that I saw a ghost that walked past - which I am saying was definitely a ghost.

Im a witness yes , im a beleiver in, it's likley aliens but probobly secret tech, and I use peolpe as my tool.(not use in a bad way.)
They report sightings and then I use that knolage to see if it's likley.
I never say that vid is definatly genuine but likley real.

That seems better than letting the books tell me whats real or not.

I did study science too and found it was usefull but controled.(peir reveiwers)
It's OK untill you go somewhere they dont want you too.
I wont make out i'm some geniuous though as I packed it up coz it was boring and very hard...to much maths involved and numbers get boring.
Rocks though now they are interesting right from the start.

Let's look at the facts.

You saw an object in the sky YOU couldn't explain.
You saw something that you believe was a ghost.

Unless you can provide something/anything other than your opinion to support those claims then all we have is your word. That doesn't mean that I, nor anyone else is doubting your word - it just means that I need far more evidence to believe in ghosts and UFOs than your potentially biased/skewed/mistaken account.

I know DB - I was only pointing out (above) that researching the paranormal using the scientific method does not work. By now we both know each others beliefs Laughing although mine are always 'ongoing'.

UFOs/Aliens really is a massive massive subject.

That's exactly the conclusion I came to after 20 years of being a believer. That's when I started to look at how and why people thought they saw UFOs and how the whole subject was tied into psychology, perception, human biology, culture, films, war, fears and technology.

If I hadn't seen them I would beleive the books but what I saw was enough.
I actually made a picture of my sightings to upload...hold on...

Never mind.
Heres a good argument...
How about the first ever UFO case.
Pilot of a private plane, Kennith Arnold, firt spotted 9 flying saucers that maneuvered around his plane, he would not have been subjested to anything atal like speculation as it didn't exist then so surley he was not infuenced by anything. These things showed inteligence and had a solid form. They were flying but how with no propelers or jet engines?

This must be the real deal.

They didn't manoeuvre around his plane - fact. They were many miles distant and nowhere close to his plane. The objects showed no intelligence other than flying in a line and in a rough formation ( like saucers skimming on water - in his own words). They were most likely birds with sunlight reflecting off their bodies. The description of them as 'Flying saucers' was invented by the press. Arnolds description differs considerably from subsequent press reports.

thats not what I read in a good UFO book.
He said that they did maneuver bobing to and from a centeral position and making course corrections.
That all ties in with reports, what iv'e seen and Lazars propolsion system.

He also esimated them to be the size of a DC4 aircraft...massive. So they couldn't be birds.

They were also estimated to be doing close to 1700mph and I do beleive birds are a little slower.
