Thanks Bitter. It was a short working holiday up on the Isle of Skye. Recharged my batteries and got lots of great pics.
Didn't see any ghosts, bigfoot or UFO's though

Funny you should bring up 'bigfoot'.
I was going to ask you, in your travels have you ever
heard of someone seeing a bigfoot there in the UK?

Aren't these 'big cat' sightings actually a panther, cougar or a mountain lion? |

We do a have a sort of Bigfoot folklore in the UK Bitter but you have to look really hard to dig out the stories. The most famous is the Big Grey Man of Ben MacDhui although this is not essentially a true Bigfoot phenomenon. Staffordshire and Cornwall have Bigfoot reports.

Clearly you see fit to assess individuals by their name. That is as closed-minded as it is possible to be. |

DB,
I looked over the link and watched the 10 min. video of
Ben Macdhui.
That was really interesting.
I'm going to keep browsing through the site.
Thanks for the link. |

I have heard all about these cats and actually there is supposed to be one right here in Essex, I have seen nothing but my brother who lives futher out in the countryside then me has.
He was walking his dog when suddenly it stoped and started to growl scared looking, he followed Arnies eyes and then spotted a large long haired black dog/beast about as large as great dane but with pointy black ears, sticking up. It eyed them and continued of into bushes un worried. To this day my brother swears it had yellow eyes.
There is a theory that these beasts are actually spirits themselves a bit like the shadow man, these are here as well as actuall escaped panthers.
Perhaps the panters were set lose to hide the ghost dogs. |

Sounds like a big Doberman.

The big cat reports are IMO nothing more than misidentifications of dogs and cats but I don't discount the possibility that some flash Essex market trader has let loose a Panther or two over the years.

I read somewhere that in the 70's (I think) it was cool to have big cats as pets and then when exotic animal laws were imposed, some people rather than spend money on licences etc just released them into the wild. This may account for some.
DB - would love to see some of your pics Skye is beautiful, were the midges out? |

Lovley dog, Well that does seem to fit the discription but, no yellow eyes and perhaps a bit small. |

I'm sure imagination and fear could have created the size and eye colour.
