The White Lion Inn in Broad Street, Brinklow is a 17th Century Coaching Inn. We arrived last night and waited for the pub to close the bar. Around 12.15pm we went lights out as we placed the group around different parts of the building. The cellar, the bar, the back bedroom and the b&b rooms. I left them to feel the surroundings they were in and to see what they sensed. There was a group of 25/30 people.
Throughout the night they switched places. Cathy the landlady and team were in the back bedroom, they asked the child who has been seen and felt by others, to show what their favourite toy is...the xbox light came on. Cathy turned it off again. A team set up in the hallway and rooms of the b&b were subject to a deep grrrr noise and one of the girls had her leg touched. They then stood in the corridor and a few witnesses mentioned the footsteps coming up the back stairs and then disappearing into the wall!
Meanwhile, down in the main bar, our team heard banging, upon investigation we could not find what caused it but it did sound as if someone had kicked the bar hard.
Kevin upstairs in the xbox room, mentioned he was lying on the bed and something touched his belt, apparently he moved quite quickly.
We switched rooms. The cellar appeared to be so calm last night, which was disappointing.
Jamie and team were then put into the office on the third floor whilst the rest of us came downstairs and gathered around the Ouija board. Before long they came down and asked who had been going up and down the stairs, no-one had been up there, odd.
The Ouija board proved to be an interesting moment, and I do hope we can get the clip on here (to follow) the planchette tipping. Geoff 's (the landlord) mum came through and spoke to him, it was a very emotional moment for him.
Before long, nightime had vanished and daylight appeared, we stood around the pool table, hands placed for a seance. Geoff mentioned that his legs felt heavy, I asked the energy to touch his legs again. The next moment Geoff was shrinking, the force pushing him down, his knees bent and he physically could not move. His knees were under the table. We turned lights on, he was stuck. Like some force was pushing him down. We eventually managed to pull him up, 3 grown ups to do this and once the team stopped laughing (it was a sight) decided to call it a night.
There is no doubt about it, the White Lion Inn does have alot of history. We have been asked back, we will go. |
