Iain, why leave the forum when you're having quite obvious disagreements with only a relatively small number of members?.
As you've seen from the comments made after the last time you left, your input here is much appreciated, is thought provoking (even though I may not always agree with it) and raises very interesting topics for discussion - not to mention your experience 'out in the field' via Hauntastic.
Forums need a range of members whose ideas and beliefs in relation to the paranormal fall along the full length of the spectrum - from outright cynics (yes, they can make a contribution) to sceptics, fence sitters, serious investigators, believers and hardline believers. IMO they all bring something to the table that can and often does challenge our sometimes entrenched beliefs.
If a member is posting anything you get irked by - why not just ignore them?.
Please don't tarr the forum with the same brush just because there may be some underhand cross forum posting going on.
Some of us very much value your, sometimes unique, insights into a subject we have had an interest in for many decades so please reconsider your decision to leave.
