Scotland’s Favorite Tourist Attraction
For centuries, thousands have reported sighting
dragons, giant snakes, or even land-locked dinosaurs
in one of the largest and oldest lakes in the British Isles.
Hoaxes and controversy abound in this legendary, world famous phenomenon
but modern scientific expeditions to the Loch have turned up some amazing results.
Nessie, as she is affectionately called, apparently has cousins in other parts of the world, too.
Creatures very similar to the Loch Ness Monster have been sighted in Asia and North America.
Astonishingly, all of these freshwater lakes are between 40 an 45 degrees North Latitude.
Could an entire herd of Nessie be hiding in a vast network of underground caverns?

Loch ness, you think people would take underwater cameras and document the entire lake, it isnt very deep or wide and it would be possible, then this myth could be debunked.

I think people have tried but lots of people like the story and carry on the tradition of believing, loads more fun than just proving that it exists.

From what I have learned, the lock ness photo was proven a hoax when the man who took it gave a death bed confession to that end.
I have also watched documentarys of underwater scans and such done in the lock with nothing to show but an old car...
When it comes to things not proven, I suppose the best approach is: Believe nothing you see and only half of what you hear!

what happens if the creature lives under the ocean floor, then the scanners would not pick it up?

A possiblility boogyman, I find it interesting that the sightings are not happening more. If something that big is around a shallow lock, you would figure with the population explosion that more people would see it and photograph it.
