|
|
1st things 1st, sorry for the delay in the report but after being up all night on Friday I really didn't feel like writing the report and this is the 1st chance i have had so...... here goes.
Arrived at the Museum of rural life in Maidstone at 9pm and was welcomed by 'Fright Nights', the company who organized the nights activities. We (all 22 of us) went round the whole site and was told of the history of the place which was a working Hop Farm dating back to the 16 hundreds. There were old cottages, a small chapel, a village hall and a large barn/oast house which was where the oats were stored.
We then split into 2 groups with a Medium for each group. I wont go into too much detail but workers were picked up by the medium around the whole site. Each house was decorated in either 1900's, 0's war time and 50's decor. We visited each location which had it's own ghosts. One house i heard a whine and my friend caught a good orb on her night vision video camera.
Although the mediums were getting info about the ghosts nothing happened in any location apart from the large barn. We were on the lower level asking for things to happen and we all heard heavy things being dragged on the floor above. In guest was pushed while standing by a door. Just before this we both hared a light bang which turned out to be a stick that keeps the door catch closed. This had popped out which was what made the noise.
Later in the same location we were all standing in a circle and i saw 2 sold black shadows move between the group and the stairs. One shadow looked like a head and shoulders of a man and i am 100% sure it was no trick of the light.
That was just about all that happened really. Not much at all which in a funny way was good as it meant that nothing dodgy was going on ( i hope!).
The best bit about the evening was that i was read by one of the mediums on and off during the night and he was damn accurate on many things. This really made my evening and put the icing on the cake.
On this he said was " How long have you been able to read people" I didn't know i could but i can be quite intuitive. He said i'll be reading this time next year!! can't wait ...if it's true!
Me and my friend managed 40 mins in a haunted room in one of the cottages. It was a real 'Most Haunted' moment for us which was great fun although nothing happened. Still good fun though.
So the ghost hunt finished at 5am and i was very happy with the whole thing. We were very well looked after by the Fright Night team and i will definitely be doing more in the future. I was never scared at any time and can't wait for more. This is going to be my new hobby so watch out all you ghosties out there he he!
BUT the weirdest thing happened on the way home. Read Part 2 for the full story!!!!! http://www.worldofghosts.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=13158#13158 |

I prefer ghost hunts with just a very few people, to many and to much noise I believe chases them away.. |

I think you're right about too many people scaring them off but the more people you have the more energy you can create.
Splitting up into groups was better and me and my friend did do 40 mins on our own in a house but nothing happened sadly. |
