I'm only 16, but this is something I have witnessed in my kitchen over and over again for at least 5 years now. I don't believe it is a haunting, but I think it is an emotional re-enactment or something stuck inside the building if that makes sense..
There's a sink on one counter, an oven and hobs behind you in another counter, and an open counter to the left. Whenever I am in the kitchen for over 10-15 minutes, I get a felling of guilt, like just after an argument. In the corner of your eye, a man of around 6' in height walks past behind you, then leans on the kitchen counter at the left. He seems to just lean and look at you. When you turn to look at him or talk to him, he disappears, and the feeling of guilt and anger just goes too. The first few times I thought it was either my dad or my brother coming into the kitchen and just leaning there and I would say whilst washing the pots 'are you going to help me?' But when I got no reply I turned to look and they weren't there. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? It just seems a little bit odd. The house is an 1800's red brick terraced, I live in Oldham, notorious for the red bricks I must say lol! I love living here though, it's one of those kinds of houses that makes you feel welcome when you walk into it and that one thing in the kitchen (and the other in the back bedroom but that's nothing really) just adds to the character of the feelings you get. Anyone who visits always comments on the homeliness of the house to be honest, they always feel welcome but that could just be my family ahahaha!
I just thought I'd share this with you because it is quite interesting if you ask me :) |
