So...these are beings who are advanced enough to master faster than light travel but who in terms of medical/biological technology are not much more advanced than ourselves?.

who said they were no more advanced medically/biological technology wise than us?
Is it not possible that they would want the samples of these animals and their organs? It is very possible that there is no other planet in the universe 'identical' to earth and the creatures on it could very well be unique - and maybe these 'parts' simply have some unique qualities useful to the ETs or 'strange' to them which could be examined?!? |

If that's the case why has it (and is it) taking them 50 years to gather their samples?

Can't rush science.
Always room for improvment.
Maybee they are having problems acheiving gtheir goal because of our planets uniqnnes and differences to their own.
Think organ donar....get the wrong bloob type wire it up and it doesn't work properly.(not without tinkering) |

maybe time doesnt have the same importance or meaning to them as they have a better idea of what happens when they die and are in no rush as agent says |

Maybe you're totally wrong. Maybe you're believing too much of other peoples wild speculations. Maybe you could provide more compelling evidence?.
Maybe?
