Ok, Me and J are back from the hotel. There were a few odd occorunces (how do you spell that word?) and the second room seemed to be more active.
Friday Night: Lots of temp change but No visuals or EVPs but I sensed some unrest and am positive we were being watched however the spirit/s did not respond to us.
Saturday Night: Lots of temp change again. 2 possibly 3 orbs (hopefully a camera caught them I haven't had time to check yet) and J thinks he's got an EVP of someone saying 'over here...look...its in my way'. At somepoint through the night the wardrobe door opened and J thought he could hear someone outside the room (well it is a hotel after all) but when checked there was no one in the hall. I definatley sensed spirits in this room, when we walked in I could feel pain and I just cried it took about 20 minutes to pull my self together.
All in all a very good night. I'm checking the pictures this week and will post anything I find, I'm having the orbs checked too for dust/light possibilities and j is checking the audio again - just to make certain. |

Looking forward to your photos!
Would you be able to add J's EVP he recorded also?
These orbs, you saw them with your eyes? Wow!
Did you record the temperature changes?
I'm curious what the high and lows were.
Thanks Twirly for keeping us posted!

J saw 1 of the orbs and I saw one out the corner of my eye so I snapped away on the camera hoping to catch them not sure about the third one though but like i said we're going to check them first because of dust/light etc. I think if I look straight at an orb it fades from veiw but by using periferal vision I can see them - its something we've been working on (in our little group) to see the theory works. Unfortunately we properly video'd on the first night where not a lot happened and then set it up static on the second night but didn't catch anything. My brother is going through the video - in case i've missed anything.
As for temperature, room temp was 22degrees but it was fluctuating between 16 and 28degrees. At about 12.45am on saturday night the temp started to rise and peaked and 1am for about 15-20 minutes then it suddenly went back to normal. The cold spots were varied through the night, the coldest one was between the bed and wardrobe about 2.10am saturday. |

Sounds like a fairly good investigation. Hope you got something on film. I try to do some "hunting" when I get time. I never get anything though.. I got something once in a haunted prison. The pic is posted in the image forum. |

hi guys
I'm so gutted to have to tell you this but I've checked my photos and it appears to me that the orbs may have been caused by the curtains! So light anomally it is then! I'm quite dissapointed as I don't feel I have any hard visual evidence that the hotel is haunted, shame really as it was a good couple of nights - Never mind though theres always next time right? |

I know it's frustrating when you think you've got a good capture, but then manage to debunk it yourself. Look at it this way though, at least it was you that found what the true source was rather than just posting them and having someone else point it out. Makes you far more credible when you do get a genuine capture
Actually, think I've still got some pics from a false alarm I had once, I'll post them if I can find them. |

and here we are!
Took some pictures of a local castle (Weobley) on Gower, near Swansea. got home, had a look and thought I could see a grey figure in the bricked up window over the entrance.
and zoomed in....
both taken on a Praktika LTL with 50mm lens
Well, I was astounded, and showed it to a few people on another forum. It was amazing to here what people could "see" (one saw a sea captain for some reason, and went into great detail)
anyway, went back a few days later and took another shot, same time, only this time with a 80mm Lens
and with 2x teleconverter..
It was stonework! Not quite so dramatic eh?
As you can imagine there were a few red faces, but I kept them as an example of why it's best to double check |

I was in an old house one time, took pics on my phone... when looking at them I was so sure I had caught an apparition, Upon further gamma corrections of the image it turned out to be one of the shots I took of the fireplace stonework. It was a dark picture and the illusion was caused by it. Totally bummed me out... |

I totally agree - theres 6 of us in our little group and we always get each other to check our findings photos, videos and sounds because I think you can sometimes get caught up in the moment and get carried away with 'sightings' and sounds that dont actually happen. Its just better to be sure than ending up looking like a pillock |

Yep, though not as much as I used to I can offer some advice. We use a few gadgets in our hunts (I'll get a new pic of them soon)but I can tell you this, your best detector is you. Once you "feel" something, thats where you want to point your recording device or EMF meter. Always follow up a detected"hot spot" with verification from another instrument. If you get a high EMF spike then try EVPs or temp etc. You don't need a lot of equipment but every instance that your instruments record is more proof to skeptics. Just be sure to learn how your equipment works and why, and what it can be influenced by besides ghosts (stray voltage, cell phones, etc). |

My brother and I (sometimes we can get our spouses to go with us) have frequented numerous cemetery's taking pictures.
But, once the pictures are developed we end up with a large variety of headstones.
Nothing more!
