| Digital only high sample rates, many older pre digital EVPs were due to nothing more than motor noises. Digital devices record an absolute, of course there are those who say that the "spirit, etc" use the Hiss from analog tapes to form the EVPs but I think thats reaching a bit. |

My personal preference is for Mini Discs.
If recording digitally, try and ensure that the device records in an uncompressed format - you don't want to be throwing the baby out with the bath water.
