I'm glad your horses were alright and that your autn went out with you later. I certainly wouldn't go out there alone after that experience. |

Animals do have a more sensitive sixth sense than we do. |

Hi Suzie,
There is a fence around the 45 acres, so the horses had plenty of area to run.
I'll be honest, when I had that scared feeling come over me, I wasn't thinking about the horses.
That sure makes me look selfish. Egads!

hey bitterbuck, thanx for the story. i too have had an experience similar to that. only i was in my room and it was only a few nights ago.
i was lying in bed and thought i heard someone scratching at my window. i ignored it at first, but then it got louder and louder until someone was pounding on the glass. so, i got up and was about to open the blinds when i noticed my cat. he was standing on the bed and hissing at the window. i took that as a hint and just left the blinds down. i didn't really want to know what was out there, but i've had so many paranormal experiences that i didn't really think twice. |

well, there isn't really much to tell about the window incident. it started happening to me only a year ago, and at first i just assumed that it was one of my friends. the first time it happened i did open the blinds, but there wasn't anybody there. my mom just said that it must've been an animal of some kind, but my window is at least four feet off the ground...that must have been one heck of an animal!!! mostly all that happens in my bedroom is whispers. every now and then i hear my name... there was one really good one that happened a few days ago though. one night i heard what sounded like a little kid walking around in my room. i say that because the footsteps were light and quick. anyway, when i got up the next morning, i open the blinds to get dressed. the window faces my tv at an angle and i'll just say that my room is kind of dusty. i happened to just glance at the screen and saw a small hand print in the dust!!!!! it's still there too, i haven't touched it and i don't intend too until i can get a decent picture of it. |

Sounds like you've got proof right there on the TV screen. When you are able to get a good picture of it, let us all take a look.
Do you have bears in your area? That is the only animal I can think of that could reach your window, of course maybe a deer or elk.
Does the house have any history?

no, no bears come around my neighborhood. too many houses, not enough wooded areas. the strangest thing is, the house i'm living in isn't more than 40 or 50 years old and not long before that the glacier nearby was covering this area. i checked into the past owners but none of them seemed to have any odd happenings and nothing violent took place here. the trailer i lived in until i was 7 in Valdez was haunted though, maybe they're following us because the new owners haven't reported anything. about the picture, my dad just got a new digital camera and we went out to take some snapshots, so i'm hoping that tonight he'll let me use it. funny thing is, we took a pic upstream of this river i had an experience at, and we could see a face beneath the surface of the water! my story is posted on castleofspirits.com under the month of December 2006 and is titled The River if you want to check that out. |

sure, i'll see what i can do today, it may be tomorrow, but that would be the latest. i also got a picture of the handprint, but i'm afraid that i waited too long trying to get my dad's camera, and the print is a bit smudged. but, you can still tell that it was a handprint and i am going to post it along with the river pic. thanx for reading my story! |
