Firstly i will start with saying hello!!
i will try and descibe exactly what happened a few nights ago the best i can and if anyone could shed some light on the matter that would be great.
i was sound asleep a few nights ago and it must of been approx 3am when my partner woke me up by firmly sounding my name.
i woke somewhat confused as he was half sat up looking up to the side of the bed on his side.
i touched him and asked him what he was doing for him to look round at me and say "oh my god i cant believe what ive just seen"
quickly i put the light on, infact i put every light on!!
he described a face as clear as anything in the room, it was looking at him and he woke up in the first place because he said he could feel somone looking at him.
as he looked at the face it shyly turned away.
he basically thought it was me.
im not sure how many of you know what it could of been or why but i would like to know.
strange because my partners mum has recently advised me not to let him joke with certain things because he will bring spirits 
Since this has happened i have felt uncomfortable in the home.

there was also the most disgusting smell of what i can only say was sick and have never smelt this in the room before, nor in the house.
the smell went after 20 mins or so. |

Welcome to the forums Princess.
I had a similar experience as a child except I had many unknown faces looking at me and no smell. I passed it off as a bad dream.
Did your partner know who's face it was?
Have you had any other "paranormal" experiences in the house? |

hi yb and thanks for you comment...
he definately wasnt dreaming.
the only other paranormal activity we have had in the house is my partner again late at night has woke me on a few occasions to say he has heard someone running up the hall way towards our room and did i hear it.
also we were watching tv in bed and he claimed he felt something rush pass the bed on his side.
the only sence i get is feeling a little uncomfortable in the house at times, but after the the other night i do feel very uneasy as by my partners reaction etc i do believe him and it does seem so real.
we look after relatives children sometimes and even i have noticed but my partner more so, we seem to have items missplaced in the house and we find ourselves scrathing our heads and we have defo noticed this pattern when the children have been.
crazy as it seemed we actually slept with the light on last night as we both felt uneasy and my partner was constantly looking towards the area he saw the face.
the face he said was a lady and she looked a little scared only when she saw that he had actually noticed her, she frowned and looked shyly away.
i pointed out to him that it was a dream and he said no chance he had half sat up to have a drink whilst in bed and before he layed back down he noticed it and persumed it was me hence the reason he was saying my name, it was when i woke and touched him he jumped and his face was quite a picture as at that point he knew i was beside him, i do believe him and i myself when i was 20 had to have a medium visit my home and the experience is one never to forget.
the problem is, i dont want to feel this uneasy feeling in my home and a feeling of being scared.
going back to the smell, i am a bit of a freak when it comes to cleanliness  and the home is spotless, so i dont understand the smell, it was strong and vile.
i think im going to look into the history of the home as its a large converted barn in the middle of nowhere and is very old so there must be history and be good to know exactly what the barn was used for.
sorry this post has been a bit long winded
