Sorry D B Sweeney.
Its a short documentuary of a camcorder that was found by some scientists. On the video it shows a man recording himself in the catacombs. It looks like he's running, maybe being chased? Suddenly he drops the camera and u see him run off into the darkness. Nobody knows who this man is or what happened to him |

I think it is possible he saw a ghost way down there and freaked out. It was interesting, and I had never heard of the catacombs before. |

Interesting question there Floss, we should use our experience and then make a decision, but even if it is fake technicly a simular scenario could be real. |

Heres a bit more.

I bet he got lost.
I also suspect that those investigators went in a different part that is or was open to the public.
To be fair if you dont get an experience down ther then perhaps ghosts are not real after all but I think that guy got one.
Interestingly here in Colchesterwe also have tunnels under parts of the town center. there is an enterance that is now bricked up from a really old building now a pub. I would pay serious cash to go down there.
Perhaps the romans quarried under here to but we didn't stick a load of corpses in, or did we?? |

This is a fantastic site, quality urbex at its best. The paris catacombs are awesome especially the mass grave dumping site.

You dont have to pay, 99 times out of 100 you can get down there yourself. The Cathedral Arches in Manchester were used as air raid shelters and sealed up for years, quite easy to get down to if you have the balls and some rope.
Deansgate in Manchester is said to be built upon another "deansgate" complete with shops still showing stuff for sale sealed up for years. Air raid shelters litter the country and easily entered, ROC posts are everywhere and Ive even seen the Preston "war rooms", Ive walked an underground river in Bolton and although not a massive river, your beneath the hustle and bustle, we even ended up beneath a night club where you could hear people dancing but on the otherside of the foundations, you can hear them going to the toilet(was tempted to have a "goonies" moment, but decided not to), all this and more with out spending a penny on admission.
Alot of people spend there time looking up to see where they can go, but few look where they have been. |

It is said that the catacombs are 1 of the top 10 most haunted places in the world. Many of the people who have been on tours have felt things grabbing their hands and clothes. Shadows have also been seen and a lot of the tours have had to be cut short because of people feeling uneasy. Many of the photos have revealed orbs and ghostly apparitions and EVPs have been recorded in the vaults.
Its one place id love to visit but i wouldnt go on my own |

They did, and I don't think it is open to the public at all. |
