My son aged 19 years died 2 years ago in an accident while swimming he was on a Gap year trip to Thialand
I was visited by a girl who said she had brought a message from a relative of hers who is a medium, a message for me from my son (Luke). She said he told her to tell me I was not to worry about the roses (I put artificial roses on his grave this summer because the drought was killing off all the plants I had put up at the cemitery). I had been worried as I thought he would not like them as he never seen the point of artificial flowers I was shocked by this message cause she also told me that when he is near he sends the smell of flowers I have smelt this several times over the last few months anyone else have this kind of experience or similar

hi mazz, yes we could smell my sisterinlaws perfume and flowers, i firmaly believe in spirtual, but if i saw anything i think i would be scared. i have been to a spirtual hall a couple of times but iam nervouse, they say if a spirit knows your scared they wont come to you.. my daughter who was 15 at the time saw a spirit of my father in law in her bedroom , my daughter said mum i put my head undre the duvet and kept saying please go away and he did. we have had many spirtual experiences . but iam scared so i dissmiss it. please mail me if you wish to....sandy

I have not smelled roses, per se, but I used to live in an apartment where there seemed to be several spirits--all nice--one of whom smelled strongly of stagepaint!
I don't know if you're familiar with it (some call it greasepaint--it's the heavy makeup they use in theatres), but it has a very distinct smell. Since I didn't know any theatre people, much less any who might have died, I assume the person must have lived in that apartment at some point.
Sometimes my "stagepaint friend" would follow me in my car, apparently going along for the ride. I would frequently smell stagepaint inside the car, and I knew for a fact that no one had been in my car who had been wearing any. Same goes for the marvelous men's cologne I also occasionally smelled in my car, when no males had ridden in it for at least a year!
Roses, I understand, are a favorite of spirit entities, especially as messages for their loved ones. Consider yourself blessed. :)

I agree that if you hear from past relatives that you are very lucky! i am one that never hears from passed relatives although i have seen and heard ghosts, i always thought it strange that if you are able to see ghosts then where are my relatives? sometimes wondered maybe they don't like me as others in the family have seen them or heard from them or mainly been visited in their dreams..... and theyve never even seen anything in the way of ghosts!..............Strange old thing the spirit world!!!

Thank you for all the posts I was so pleased. When you are sitting alone at home on a dark evening writing to a web site it feels as if you are the only person in the world who is up and doing that. I never thought about how that made me blessed. I have lost friends and loved ones in the past and none of them ever visited me until now. I thought it was because I cant seem to get over the loss of my beutiful boy I cry every day for him sometimes I wake up and think its been a dream and he is alive really then I have to come to terms with it all over again. That makes it hard. Somehow the smell of the roses brings peace to my mind.
I get up go to work and put up with all the crap around me and inside I am screaming 'you think you have been hurt' 'you think its ok to moan and complain' I cant seem to see that others have to cope with things too they seem so trivial to me with what I am feeling about Luke but I know thats selfish and that I need to try to keep going and hope for improvement along the way. thanks girls Mae xxxx[/i]

Mazz, I don't know if this would help, but the AA-EVP has what is called "The Big Circle," a group dedicated to contacting loved ones who have passed on and recording messages from them via EVP. You can read about it here: http://bigcircle.aaevp.com/
It was started by Martha Copeland, who lost her daughter Cathy in 2001. Martha has since been in communication with Cathy via EVP, and while it does not bring back the person we have lost, it has helped tremendously those who are grieving. Martha has a book about the Big Circle, and at the site your loved one can be added to the prayer roster, the spiritual roster, and/or the memorial page. The recording circles can then listen for messages from your loved one and pass them on to you, or you can learn how to set up your own recording circle.
There is no cost involved.
If you have access to the DVD of "White Noise," the bonus features contain some very informative footage about The Big Circle, including a demonstration of a recording and some amazing EVPs of members' loved ones making contact. Of course, this applies to the US version of the DVD; not sure whether other regions are the same or not.

I know how you feel --- I went through this myself after an extremely difficult period following a frightening breakup (he threatened my life). I even blew up at a lady and her daughter at a tire store, practically screaming at her: "You think you have problems? Your problems are nothing compared to mine!" I think I was about half nuts!
People can be so petty, and some just don't seem to have any comprehension of what some of us are going through, much less the depths of agony and despair one human can reach.
If you like, PM me and I will be happy to suggest some ways I have found helpful to cope. I have quite literally been to hell, my own life having been a seemingly unending string of hardships, trauma, and extremely difficult times; often suicide seemed the only answer. Happily that is in the past, and yes, I am stronger for it--though I would never want to go back!
Hang in there, and if you need help, just reach out and ask. Entities surround us, and some of them are angels. :)

Hi Mazz! have to say that is a very upsetting story, but believe me in ways you are blessed, with the smell of the roses, being a reminder that most people just don't get, and it must have made you very strong too, as your carrying on, youre going to work, despite how difficult it seems you have gotten through the worst of what most people could ever contemplate.
i'm here till the early hours every night if you need a chat, don't feel like your on your own 'cause youre really not.

hi to all.
i can see spirits sometime..... (all the time in my heart..) i always feel the presence... i would hate to live life with out that... i love spooks.
i saw my 1st one when i was young... 12ish.. and then a big gap.... but now i get dream contacts and astro travel and visit spirits while i am asleep... i even have seen where my dog Ben has gone when he died...
i have smelt flowers too! and aftershave before now... also here the voice of the spirit person before now..
clear as if standing right next to me.... i love spirits...
i have had many downs and spirit has picked me up and i have felt there friendship AND protection...
WONDERFUL
they are my strength....

Hello,
That is a very interesting story. It is always creepy to me to hear of others being conduits and relaying messages, I know it would frighten me a lot.
But then at the same time those types of messages can bring comfort to those in need, good luck with everything.

i am glad you liked my little story.... i am only passionate about 2 things in life... spirit... and my animals... i have seen lots more... that was just a little taste...... there is no need to be afraid..... you ask your Angel to keep you safe in your "safe zone" and you will only make contact with what you can take...... spirit is love...... so give them a kiss... i do often... h aha ha ha............  a a a

hi to you all
the clocks went back last Saturdayhere in UK so I am now out of my normal sleep pattern , I have been pleased to read all the comments here thank you very much to all of you . It is so lovely to see that total strangers whom I have never met can reach out to me like you all have .
I had a dream recently I will tell you about I hope you dont mind. I was at home and Luke came to me I knew he was not alive (sorry still have trouble saying the D word) Anyway he kept following me around which was not like him in life he was very much my boy but he only hung out with me when he was upset about something and it would take him hours before he would admit something was bugging him.
He was like that in the dream except I knew it was a dream because I was fighting to keep the tears in, seeing him walking around and chatting like he always had. Anyway he finally said to me Mum what is wrong I feel strange I had to tell him he was not alive anymore. I told him I would teach him how to fly, Next thing we are outside and we are flying together arms spread out like birds floating on a breeze it was so amazing I felt so close to him and so happy. We came to a sort of cross road and we were looking around and just enjoying ourselves . Then I told Luke he had to fly on his own now . We hugged and he flew away over the fields. I woke up with tears streaming down my face but somehow it was a lovely dream To be allowed to fly with him like that it felt like we had really done it and it was not one of those dreams were you think the person is alive and well and you have to wake up to the loss again the next morning .
