itunes (not sure if this is a word )
Unfortunately I don't think I will be going anytime soon - I'm sure it will set me back a fair few quid - even if backpacking type of travelling, I'm sure I will need at least 2000 sterling. Have you been throughout the states yourself? |

We've traveled by car to quite allot of states. Most by plane. Seems if you travel by air you can visit much longer.
The last two years we've been traveling by car so as we can see more of the country. And explore all the 'tourist traps'.
When I was a kid our family holidays were of traveling by car and working our way up to Canada. ( My Mum's from Canada) Got to see allot of awesome sites that way.
My husband and I are planning a trip to Ireland next year.
Since we've never been we are looking at the bus tours they
offer.
One of the stops in Ireland that we are looking forward to
is the Guinness brewery. |

telepod (watched fly the other night )
lol the Irish tours won't be very long; compared to the states Ireland is a dot. I heard a really funny story the other day - you know Liam Neeson and Robert De Niro - the Hollywood Stars - apparently they are good friends, and they were in Ireland (Neeson is from Northern Ireland) There is this wee pub out in the country (Donegal I think I was told) and there is this wee man in his late sixties, who has gone to this pub pretty much everyday since he was 16 - used to be in the evening after work, and now just after his lunch. Well he was sitting at the bar and De Niro and Neeson walked in, and the wee man was the only one in the pub. They walked up to the bar and he looked over at them and nodded 'well lads' - when they replied he said 'you's a are yanks?' and Neeson said 'well this man is, but I'm local' and they were laughing and confused - he had no idea who they were - he has never watched films or tv and they sat and had the craic with him for a couple of hours - eventually he asked them what sort of work they do, and they said they were actors, and he replied 'well it's better than nothing lads - the way things are at that moment any sort of a job - you should be grateful for' |

oddity
Oh, how I like that movie!
Was it the original or the one with Jeff Goldblum?
Regardless both are fantastic in their own right!
That's a great story!
The tour is of the southern Ireland. Thirteen days. We are
hoping to extend it so as we can go to northern Ireland as well. |

It was the one with Jeff Goldblum - I'll probably watch Fly 2 tonight now this has put me in the mood.
You should definitely go to Northern Ireland when you are here - you wouldn't have wanted to come a few years ago during the Troubles Tbh I cant think of much to recommend (sites, attractions) Its just a nice place with friendly people Will you be looking for any haunted locations? |

If we are able to extend our trip and go up north, we'll be renting
a vehicle and go on our own. Then I may look into some haunted
areas.
I'll be happy enough just driving around northern Ireland and stopping
at some of the villages and staying a bit.
Also to have a drink (or two) at a pub that is older than Moses will be
awesome!
Of course this all depends on the economy.

If we were to go this year and depending on what month,
it would range from $3095 to $2495 per person for a
13 day excursion.
Now that is just one agency's pricing.
Before we go I'll look into the fares more in depth.
What is the weather like in September and October? |

wow and then you will need spending money after that. The weather wouldn't be bad in sep/oct - the weather can be very changeable in Ireland though, and bad weather could really put a dampner lol on the whole trip (for sightseeing etc) although Scotland is worse |

Being that close, it would be a shame if we didn't. But then again
financially...not too sure.
I'm going to have to really save some extra money.
What's the temperature during the summer?

Not sure Bitter - 20 - 30 celcius I would say
You can even take day trips across - if you are in dublin you can take a ferry across to England, it wouldn't cost too much without a car. |
