I don't think it's aliens or meteors (they're moving far too slow to be meteors). The smart money is on them being ice crystals from the Shuttle or whatever craft filmed them or more likely space debris, see link below.

One that caught my attention was exactly 7 seconds in - watch on the far left of the screen; an object appears to materialise out of nowhere I don't think a meteor or ice particle can do that |

Objects in that film appear to materialise out of nowhere because they move from darkness into the sunlight. They're all at varying distances from the camera and moving at different speeds so the rate of materialisation will vary. It's quite simple really.

I see what you mean, its movements don't resemble how solid matter would move. |

Good point DB - I never gave it much thought so I suppose it could have just come out of a shadowed area.
Rose92, I am not really sure about this footage - I lean towards these not being UFOs, but there is plenty of other NASA footage which does appear to show UFOs. |

From footage like this its easy to see how people can be easily mislead into thinking its something extraterrestrial when this isn't always the case. With the help of opinions from people like yourselves its much easier to come to a reasonable explanation I agree with you both its much more probable its debris that is being caught from an obscure angle. |

They are interesting. Personally I do believe there is other life out there as I find it very difficult to believe that we are the only life forms in the enormity of the universe. However whether it has been discovered yet who knows. In Carl Sagan's book Cosmos he even talks about the idea that there may be other intelligent life forms "And on some small fraction of worlds there may develop intelligences and civilizations more advanced than our own". He also suggest other life forms may have arised and died out before us.
I really reccommend the Carl Sagan book comos if you haven't already read it, it is a great read! |

I think Sagan was an amazing man and one of the greatest thinkers and scientists the world has produced. The demon haunted World is the one book that anyone who wants to learn about life, death and the universe should read.
I believe intelligent life is very common throughout the universe and great civilisations have burned so very brightly for millions of years - the distances involved and the finite limit of light speed has simply meant they've not reached us yet or had the inclination to explore beyond their own star systems.
To not know Sagan is to not know life.

Rose92, it is generally accepted now by most scientists that there is other intelligent life in the universe and it may even be common. I have read about Carl Sagan and I know he was a genius, but I don't agree with all his views especially life after death. |

Why don't you agree with Carl on Life after death Cactus, what did Carl say that you disagree with?.

He believed there was no soul and hence once you die that is the end for you; I don't believe that. |
