Literally just got back from Valentines Mansion in Ilford, East London. Very interesting night and well organised. The person who runs it is Ian Shilitoe who has been a guest medium on Most Haunted. When we got there we were introduced to the team and split into 3 groups with a 'sensitive' for each group. They don't like being called Mediums for some reason, anyhoo we all went off to our destinations. Our 1st vigil was in the upstairs servants corridor. We did some crystal swinging (can’t remember the proper term!) and everyone got their crystals to swing except me! Hey Ho. We did see spirit lights flicker in the dark corridor which was interesting. The 2 girls that were with us saw allot more than we chaps did but we all saw something.
After a break we went to a different room on the ground floor where we used a 'safe' ouija board and it actually moved! This has never happened to me before so that was quite exciting. I can say with my hand on my heart that i wasn't moving it and i'm pretty sure the other 3 people weren't either. The info that was coming through was spot on for someone who built the house so full marks there.
One of the other groups got 2 loud bangs after a direct question but no more bangs.
After another brake we went to the kitchens where nothing happened at all except most of us got a little private reading from Ian which was pretty accurate but i can only speak for myself. Nothing paranormal happened in the Kitchen.
After another short brake my friend and i went to a room directly below the 1st location corridor. We were alone and asked out for stuff to happen. Nothing did but we did hear furniture being moved in an above room but we put this down to people in the corridor moving about. Another team came into our room and we were going to play the sound of the furniture moving from my friends digital dictaphone but when we played it back we got 2 lots of weird interference which we can't explain. You can hear us talking in the background but over the top was a kind of loud radio interference with voice and at one point there is a loud whisper which was none of us. The recording will be investigated and hopefully i will be able to put it on this site so you can hear it. It was very odd as the dictaphone was 3 feet away from my friend and 6 feet away from me and it was motionless on the floor. Very odd.
Other stuff happened to the other teams but i was not there so i can't comment. A great night was had by all and i will be going to another London Paranormal outing as soon as possible. |

Andy what is a "safe" ouija board?
Will be interesting to hear what you picked up on the digital dictaphone.

From what the guy said, the reason it's safe was the fact that most boards have images of demons and this guy made hos board without any negative images and also he painted real gold on it too which is supposed to keep things safe. i'm not sure if it keeps negative energies away or attract positive energies but it seemed to work!!
Can't wait for the next hunt! Need to get booked up on one. |

Not at the moment but i like the way the London Paranormal team work so i will keep a close eye on them. I'll let you know what i get booked on.
