Some of you might have already come across this but im interested to see what you think.
NOTE: the photo was submitted to Paranormal.About.com. The commentary from the owner of the photo and a reader feedback is interesting. What do you think? ...Lon

You're never going to see the negative Agentscott not in a million years. It's an obvious fake IMO. And before anyone starts moaning about me always dismissing photos - how about those that think it might be genuine or think it's genuine dig up something to support their views other than what's been published?.
Burden of proof an' all that

Burden of proof again Cactus. I'm not the one claiming this is an evil ghost at a wedding.
I don't have to prove anything because you can't prove a negative mate

im not claiming it is either - im a total neutral
but you did say an 'obvious' fake - i just thought you might have had a better reason than burden of proof |

I could go into detail as to why I think it's a fake Cactus because I've seen this pic posted as evidence many times but to be honest I can't be arsed because at the end of the day you'll carry on believing in ghosts no matter how much logic I throw at you.
It's the same when I debate religious people - throw them facts, research by biblical scholars etc but they still blindly go on believing in the virgin birth, jesus rising from the dead and god creating the universe with little in the way of evidence to offer.
By all means please keep challenging me and asking questions. I don't post on these forums to convert but to keep me sharp and abreast of the arguments that believers constantly put forward.
I respect your opinions Cactus but I don't have to agree with them....what is the saying?
'respect the believer but not the belief'.

What don't you know about religion?.
I think that pic might get taken off Cactus because it's offensive.

well there must be some reason some people fully believe - eg when someones at a very low point in their life they usually turn to God and a lot of stories over the last 2000 years - saints, miracles, divine intervention
if you read about the most famous poker player in the world - doyle brunson - he should have been dead in his twenties, hes nearly 80 now - there was a definate miracle, but im not sure if thats God/Jesus through prayers OR peoples will |

well there must be some reason some people fully believe
People believe in religion and ghosts and UFOs for lots of different reasons. IMO most people can't accept their own mortality and can't face death as the ultimate sleep with no dreams and no waking up afterwards. It's been the same ever since we learned to walk on two feet and became intelligent mammals. People think religion started with god, allah, mohammed and jesus but it goes way way back - hundreds of thousands of years before these new kids on the desert block .
Catholics, Protestants, Muslims (sunni & shia), Jews don't have a monopoly on the right beliefs they were beaten on that score by the Egyptians and the Babylonians who in turn were preceded by the far older more archaic pagan beliefs of the early hominds and neanderthals.
when someones at a very low point in their life they usually turn to God
Correct but many other turn to booze or drugs or scientology or education. Religion doesn't have the monopoly on salvation - it just thinks it does.
saints, miracles, divine intervention
No proof, no evidence. Jesus was at best an outspoken rabbi and there's no way we can prove he was of divine origin. The bible is so full of contradictions - particularly in relation to the gospels and their accounts of the life and works of jesus as to be about as believable as claiming Harry Potter really existed.
Why is Doyle Brunsons survival a miracle?.

so what about the religion picture - who cares
For a start religious people would care. I believe that this is an open forum where children could log on to try to find information about ghosts etc. My daughter is 18 now but I'd certainly not have wanted her at a younger age to come across a picture like that on a forum that seemed to suggest it discussed ghosts and the paranormal.
its not exactly a personal attack on anyone
No it's not and I'm sure you were only making your point Cactus.
you should hear some of the stories my mates have told me about Iraq and Afghanistan, all conveniently never seen in the media
I know what you mean Cactus. I have family going back three generations who served in the military from WW2 to Korea to the troubles in Northern Ireland to present day Iraq and Afghan. There are things that don't need to go in the public domain but that's the nature of war unfortunately.
