I can see why Cactus posted it Flossy but we all make errors. At the end of the day you're the Moderator and what you say goes. I've made similar mistakes myself on far less tolerant US forums and been hauled over the coals. Nobody's perfick

Doyle Brunson - I read his book super system a few years which went into detail about what happened and there is no doubt it was a miracle.
Heres some info:
Brunson met his future wife, Louise, in 1960 and married her in August 1962. Louise became pregnant, but later that year, a tumor was discovered in Doyle's neck. When it was operated on, the surgeons found that the cancer had spread and declared it incurable. They felt that an operation would prolong his life long enough for him to see the birth of the baby, so they went ahead with it. After the operation, no trace of the cancer could be found.[9] The doctors said that his recovery must have been a miracle, and Brunson has attributed his cure to the prayers of friends of his wife and their correspondence with Kathryn Kuhlman, a self-proclaimed Christian faith healer.[10] Louise developed a tumor shortly afterwards and, when she went for surgery, her tumor was also found to have disappeared. In 1975, their daughter Doyla was diagnosed with scoliosis, yet her spine straightened completely within three months.
Doyla died at 18 when she took too much potassium for a heart-valve condition. Over the following year, Brunson read Christian literature and converted to Christianity. |

Does the frequent use of the word 'christian' and the lack of the words 'medical science' and ' coincidence' not sound alarm bells in your head?.

i know a lot about scoliosis as my daughter has it, if its a slight curve then there is a chance it can straighten up on its own, but the bigger the curve the less chance there is of that happening |

That's not the point. Kids might just laugh but then again they may be kids who have no parental guidance or control.
I'm not trying to be a fuddy duddy here but forums like this have certain parental and moral responsibilities. One is the censorship of bad language and another is offensive/disturbing images.
LOL Agentscott you might live but there are minors who log onto this forum who may be disturbed by certain images or language used - hence the need for moderators such as Bitterbuck and whay aye Flossy lass

if you read about it - the opinion of all the dozens of medical doctors that treated him - they all agreed it was a miracle - he had weeks to live - the cancer had spread through his entire body - he descibes what it was like, he was half out of it most of the time on the pain relief, but one day he woke up and felt completely normal, he didnt understand, when checked all sign of the cancer was gone
his wife had organised hundreds and hundreds of people to pray for him for long sessions |

Did they consider that the human immune system performs its own miracles? that medication may have helped, that the cancer may have gone just as mysteriously as it appeared?.
Why a blasted miracle????

| D B Sweeney, if you believe or consider the possibility of a miracle - it is actually more likely than what you said |
