I've taken the pic into photoshop and put it through several filters. It's quite close to the camera. Look at the bottom of the mist. It's overlaying the floor area that's extending towards you. The mist is illuminated by the flash, not particularly brightly so it's over 12 inches away from the flash but close enough to get some definition by it's proximity. What camera make and model? What setting was used? App settings? Lens used? temperature and humidity when pic was taken? ...
