Suicide seems real high around this time!
Why?
Not to mention, I'm from a glass home, and I feel that I WILL NEVER leave that house anytime soon... |

Did someone mention chocolate?
Homemade chocolate covered cherries are just one of
my favorites. |

Seems nice. I only know that syrupy stuff from the store! This X-mas is going to be heard for me!
My mother is slowly dying, and it would be best if she did. She refuses to get committed, and she is driving my family insane!
Her doctor told me dad that she is a classic Sociopath! She's dangerous! My mom is TRULY MESSED UP!!! |

Gonk! wrote: | It's interesting to note that there is no truth to the comment that more people kill themselves in winter. It just seems like something people accept like saying that the police and health services have more calls during a full moon.
People are more likely to commit suicide during warmer months like Spring or Autumn rather than the winter. One theory for this is that during Winter/Christmas there are more people for us to talk to as we tend to be around family or friends a bit more and so our mood is elevated and we feel happier. When the season ends and Winter moves into Spring with all the feeling of "new beginnings" and the mood then falls as people feel that their new beginning is a failure and the feeling of loneliness is magnified from the Winter months.
It kind of latches onto suicide clusters. In late 2007 to early 2008 in an area near me 24 teenagers aged 13-17 took their own lives. This was reported by the national media and people all had theories, a suicide cult, the media, a toxin causing mental imbalance etc.. but what is most surprising that while this was really the first suicide cluster reported by the media it isn't the first or the biggest in the UK. From 1999-2001 in East Glasgow 245 young people took their own lives but this went unreported. There's little you can point to to say why, where and when someone is going to take their own life it seems to come down to be willing to listen and understand people rather than looking at the dark winter days. |
You need help...sorry to say. |
