Our house at the time was near the top of a very steep hill and when it
snowed vehicles did not use this road as it was too dangerous, many cars
had lost control in the snow going down the hill in the past and cars could
not get up the hill in snow as they could not get enough grip.
Anyway as I said it was around 21:30 and I was in the front bedroom looking
out of the window watching the snow, my father was working away so was
not at home but my mother and sister were downstairs.
As I looked out of the window I saw a car driving up the hill and stop outside
our house, I thought it very strange as cars could not use the road in these
conditions, I watched and what looked like a male in his late twenties got out
of the passenger side and started to walk up our drive, I could not make out whom
he was as he had a anorak on and its hood was up.
I decided to go down and answer the door so I started to make my way down but as
I reached the top of the stairs I could see that this guy had put his hand through the
letterbox and was trying to reach the door latch to open the door, on seeing this I ran
down the stairs shouting that someone was trying to break in.
I reached the door and grabbed hold of the guys arm to stop him reaching the latch
or from getting away, my mother came running out into the hall and could see me
fighting with this guys arm.
After a few seconds of this I let go of his arm and unlocked the door and threw it
open all ready to confront this guy, to my surprise when the door was open there
was no one there, there was foot prints in the snow coming up our drive from the
road to the front door but there was none leading away from the door.
Our drive was over 2 cars in length so there is no way he could have backed down
the using the marks already made in the snow in the time it took me to open the
door. But there was nowhere for him to have gone , it was impossible for him to
have left without making marks in the snow. |

sounds weird to me why a 'ghost' or what ever it was would want to break into your house when I thought they could walk through walls ?
What did the arm feel like ?
If you had said you were holding onto his leg I would have expected you to end with:
"...& I was pulling his leg like I'm pulling yours." lol |

Nowhere have I said it was a ghost, I have no idea how to explain it, it is an experience I cannot explain but is a mystery to me.
The arm felt just like a normal human arm would, I cannot say there was anything unusual about the way it felt. |

I know that's why I said "...or what ever..." in my post.
Your experience does sound odd though from what you posted. |

The car had gone and it had left marks in the snow, everything pointed to it being a normal visit to the house except that the person had vanished without leaving any marks going away from the house and the car had no problem at all getting up the hill in snow. |

Interesting indeed. Have you had any other paranormal experiences that you can remember? Anything at all that seems out of the ordinary?
How did you feel when this happened? Scared or calm for an unknown reason. |
