I was lucky I got the K2 ($40) back before it's "Ghost Hunters" debut when it's price skyrocketted on e-bay. The other stuff has been collected in the past few years here and there. The Tri-Field is the most expensive close to $200 for that one with the DVR at $120 behind it. You don't need all that, but I like results so I go for the most sensitive equipment. Not shown is the IR video camera. Gearing up and will post results ASAP.

What is the device called that (bare with me on my description) shows images in different colors based on their temperature?
Saw one used on a show and it captured some images with somewhat of a human shape.

Do you also used this type of equipment on your investigations?
If so, have you captured any images with it?

I think you might be talking about a FLIR Thermal Imaging Camera. They consist of a sensor and a monitor and are primarily used by fire depts to locate individuals in smoke filled buildings. They also run about $15-25,000 so no, we dont have one of those and wont for a long long time, at least not until something new comes along and drops the price. We do use the IR camera though which is one of the Sony Handicams with the super sensitive night mode. These cameras are great they have a built in IR floodlight that really illuminates a large area.

Dang! That's pricey!
Maybe you should make friends with someone in the Fire Department. Laughing Laughing

What do you mean by "super sensitive light mode"?
What exactly is its function?
Hope that isn't that silly of a question.
Confused

Sonys zero lux technology makes it a great choice for IR recordings. The model we have is an older one, I think they modified them some time later due to them being to powerful. If memory serves me correct people were using them in daylight to see through clothing. The zero lux model we have came with a standard IR emitter and a "Super Night Mode" emitter which I don't think they utilize anymore or it's been modified. Either way it works great in complete darkness.
