Welcome back girl. You need to rest your mind and think of good things at bedtime. This should help with the bad dreams... A restless mind brings restless dreams. |

Spookey : Are you religious in any way. I have heard a lot of people of the christian faith dream of snakes and snake poison etc. Apparently it is more common than people realise. It is supposed to have the cliche meaning of sin and guilt.
Though if you are more of a nature belief or Spiritual beliefs as opposed to religion, Its supposed to represent a form of escape and that the snake should not be feared but looked at as a guide. This seemed to be the general senus of it according to a group of Dream interpreters.
BUT a site i use very often for help with dreams is
http://www.meaningofadream.com/dream-snake.php
And not to freak you out but the following is taken from that site
Dreams of snakes have very different interpretations, some of the most common ones state that a snake is a symbol of transformation; different cultures saw different transformations portrayed by the snake. It might be that the snake represents a transition from life to death, a passing into a new stage in life or even the rebirth of someone's personality.
A common situation in which people dream snakes is when they have a friend or a member of a family that is about to die or suffering from a life threatening disease or condition. These dreams come as a result of the added stress and the fear that you'll loose the friend or loved one and are supposed to be linked to the fact that you realize the imminent death of the person.
Roman's interpreted the snake as a medical symbol, as we all know the symbol for medicine is a snake on a staff, the staff of the roman healing God. Amongst the number of interpretations out there the belief that snakes are a symbol of evil is the most deep routed hypothesis of them all, mostly due to the large number of Christians and the popularity of the Adam and Eve story, also some cultures see the snake as a phallic symbol.
Dreaming of snakes is often a single time experience, but some people can experience reoccurring dreams and these really are a problem. Repeating dreams mean that there is something wrong in your life, and repeating snake dreams mean that you have an issue that has remained unresolved and dealing with these dreams is often done through lucid dreaming, where you are recommended to ask the snakes why are they bothering you, if a hostile situation arises then you must do anything in your power to overcome the difficulty. Try to dream all the way to the end, this is crucial for a quick solution to the dream. Solutions depend on your feelings towards the snakes in the dream and their location, a good memory of what happened in the dream is what is desired. |
