Start off with researching Wicca. Google Wicca and that will be your starting point. Witchcraft is just another belief system as valid - if not more so - as Christianity or Islam.
On the whole Wicca is a benign belief but as with all religions and beliefs it will have schisms and offshoots that betray a darker side.

Read as much as you can about it before deciding if it's the path you wish to follow then try to find people in your area who follow the same beliefs.

Im a Wiccan and i started following it 3 years ago now. iv always been interested in wicca and spells but didn't know how to follow this path.
when i met my fiance, i found out he was a wiccan and he helped me alot through books that he had.
try getting the book called 'the real witches handbook' by Kate West. very informative and was a real help.
dont go into it light-heartedly though as if your not serious about spellwork then it may not turn out the way you want it to. if you want to talk futher, just p.m me

Well you don’t have to be Wiccan to practise Witchcraft. I’m a Witch…. But not a Wiccan. Wicca is a particular religion, with its own set of rules and beliefs. You will find lots and lots of books and websites on Wicca so you will have plenty of reading to do if you decide if that is what path you would like to take.

As I said, I am a Witch. I don’t follow the path of Wicca. I worship the moon Goddess and the sun God and have a deep affinity with nature. I practise Witchcraft and perform spells and rituals. The rituals mainly on the festivals (for more info on these just Google Pagan Festivals and you will find many sites!) and the full moons. I celebrate the turning of the wheel and the changing of the seasons.

Good luck on finding the right path for yourself. Bright blessings to you x
