Interesting experience! In my opinion these kind of experiences are amongst the best as they are less subjective. You can't just think that you saw a teddy move like you can think that you saw a light or something, you know you saw it move.

I can't explain this (unless you have a pet who could have moved it?) but I don't think it sounds like something you would need to worry about, probably just someone feeling cheeky or curious Very Happy

Who was in the room Floss - you, your daughter and the dog?. You say the dog was under the sofa, so, you didn't have eyes on the dog when this happened?.

DB I think the dog was sitting on the sofa. Flossy was there any doors/windows open or did anyone come into the house around that time through the front or back door?

as a draught could possibly explain both the teddy moving and the chair rocking.

I remember one time when I was a child my Mum I think, had put a small Holy picture on the wall in my room, and once when I walked in, the picture sort of jumped, and it freaked me out - but after a while I came to the conclusion that it must have been a door opening or a draught.

A draught to blow a teddy 5 feet? that would take a 30 mile an hour wind. Come on guys it's obvious, teddys cant walk on their own, face it that was a ghost. Perhaps the ghost of cristmas past?

I was only providing a rational possibility Rolling Eyes

and also it really depends on the size of the teddy - Flossy what size was it - like is it ultralight?

all the doors were locked as it was late evening when this happened, no windows were open as its too cold
my sitting room has 2 doors, the back door and a door leading to the hallway both were shut
my dog was sat ON the sofa oposite me so i could see her
the teddy is a general sized teddy, its a xmas one so its holding a xmas present, so its not exactly light
both the teddy and the stool were at the side of me so as soon as they moved i saw them, i even watched the teddy as it came to a stop
theres no way a draft could of caused that
