I will pose the question to everyone and see what type of feedback we can get. "Do you think Telepathy is plausabile?" |

like mind reading? I think people are really good about reading peoples facial expression, body movements and asking the right questions to appear as if they are reading their minds. For the most part, I dont believe in it and wouldnt want it around, my thoughts are not very pure and I am sure might cause someone to have nightmares - poor fool with that ability |

I agree with whimps. Some people are just good at reading people. That's how gypsies got there money right. |

I thought telepathy was two people communicating within their minds?
Great question, I've never heard of anyone who was capable of it. Course that doesn't mean it cannot be done.

I know at times, my husband and I can finish each others sentences, say the same thing at the same time and will be thinking of the same thing.
But I wouldn't call that telepathy.
That's called spending to much time with your hubby! |

Yes I do think it is. I tend to think of it also as 'thought transference'. If you live or work with people for any length of time, you find a 'mental bond' develops. You say things that they are thinking [sometimes word for word]. Or think something just before they say it!
To see whether it does work, you can try simple 'experiments'. One of my favourites is this: you are travelling on a bus, and see someone you like the look of. But you haven't the nerve to say anything directly to them.
So you end up 'projecting' things like 'I think you're really cute' at them. But then think 'if they look at me, I'll... .' Next thing you know, they turn round. And look at you. Suddenly you feel really embarrassed, and hide behind a book or paper! |

I have tried to do this many times with no luck.. Wonder if the energy is more excessive if the thought is transferred by the subconscious? |

I think the problem most people find is they just think the word, or sentence, almost as if visualising a written word. I believe the knack is to visualise the emotion of the word or expression instead, almost like creating a mini, focused residual haunting |

Interesting idea, Solstice Moon. I do Amateur Dramatics in my spare time. When I am learning a part in a play, I try to 'visualise' a 'script' in my head. With all the lines and directions, etc, in/on it. And I have found now that I have a 'mental autocue' that 'prepares' things am I about to say. Or 'amends' my thoughts. Just in case I might say the wrong thing! I have heard of cases where people 'see'/visualize' letters as different colours, or different musical notes. But I don't know whether that is just apochrypal. |
