|
|
Ive just been on a forum called Sheffield Forum.
I began by asking people for there personal paranormal experience and for general psychical chat.
After two solid days of fighting scientists and physicians and skeptics I ended up on my own.
No one had anymore argument.3000 views in 2 days!
They used every trick and psychological twist, they became a group of agressive people fighting for there scientific survival in the face of theoretics and metaphysics.
We ended up in a situation where they were
asking me for proof and I told them I was a theorist and I asked them for actual factual
proof of anything at all. They had nothing to give and i didn't have to offer anything as I discount nothing and offer only theoretics.
The forum BANNED me and removed the post.
VICTORY IN THE FACE OF SCIENTIFIC
ATTACK.
It was so embarrasing for the forum that they
could not win an argument against one man,
with all there advanced scientific qualifications and experience, they had
no defence against theoretics and open minded
oppinion.
UNLESS YOU CAN PROVE YOURSELF-
YOU CAN MAKE NO REFERANCE TO ANYTHING ELSE.
Oh ye hello again ...yes its adictive
and fresh start, I'll leave the
dots, they look pretty. |

Yes these forums are addictive lol - although this is really the only one I go on - I check in on other forums but mainly just read instead of posting.
Good to see you back Iain |

How do you expect scientists to react when challenged by an unqualified illiterate (who doesn't know the difference between a physician and a physicist) and uses a plethora of terms without knowing their proper meaning?
Like it or not, there's no way you're ever going to be taken seriously among the scientific cognoscente. |

Good to see you back after your wee break Iain . Your tactics on the Sheffield forum is a strategy often encountered in debating circles and it's called 'Going Nuclear' which is basically an attempt to unleash an argument that lays waste to every position, bringing them all down to the same level of 'reasonableness". There are two main variants of 'Going Nuclear' - sceptical and relativist. I'm not sure which one you employed though.

Hmmm, the similarity is causing confusion. How about if you refer to Dee Bunker as Dbunk or Bunker?.

Science doesn't have all the answers - otherwise we'd know everything about everything and I can't see that ever happening
Science holds it's theories provisionally - that's why we only have The theory of evolution, Germ theory and The theory of gravity. Science is entirely open to changing it's opinion on Evolution, Gravity and Germs (plus much more) if new evidence comes to light that proves the theory wholly or partly incorrect - that's why science doesn't claim to know everything.
Maybe at some point in the future scientists will form a hypothesis and subsequently a theory about ghosts - that's entirely possible if not exactly probable but when evaluating the paranormal we have to go with what's known not what's unknown - otherwise all kinds of bizarre claims are in danger of being treated equally with tried, proven and tested theories.

Hahaha,
Yes I agree that comment was a little bit harsh deeeebunker (I knew what you ment Cactus).
I would love to see science embrace the parnormal and solve it, they just need to tweek the laws of physics or perhaps make some exeptions to the rules.
Or how about change them entirley.
Problem is mainstream science is under the control of reveiwers and hard nosed people. |
