my youngest daughter has been telling me for the last couple of weeks that she keeps seeing a black shadow around the house
she,s seen it going up the stairs, in my bedroom, and in the bathroom, but when she looks directly at it she says it disapears
she says its like a cirlce shape about the size of a football
she said she saw a smaller white ball shape go up and down the wall beside her bed too, but that was just the once
i dont know what to make of it, i know she,s not making this up because she is so determand in what she,s see,ing
ive heard of shadow people but she said its a cirlcle shape and not the shape of a person
any ideas, anyone |

Get a cheap motion sensor alarm, some evidence suggests that shadow people can trip them, there fore they may have actual mass. |

My advice to you, if you really want to know if your daughter isnt imagining these things. Is to set up a video camera in the bedroom, also maybe a voice recorder, just in case you might catch an EVP. Then if you do catch any evidence, at least you know that its not just `floaters` in the eyes or imagination and then its up to you, if you want it to go away. If so contact your local spiritualist church/or cleric. Or even a paranormal group who may have someone who can help to rid you of this entity. But if its not threatening or harming or scaring your child. Let it be. |

I'd get your daughter to your GP and get him to refer her to an eye specialist and get her eyes checked properly. Check out the information on this link and see if any of it corresponds to your daughters condition.

The likelyhood of it being shadow people or spirits or supernatural energy is miniscule.

Floaters won't be apparent all the time. In young people the eye will develop and this may well turn out be be a transient problem that hopefully will simply go away.

I disagree there bobstoo, this is a myth. Children have active imaginations and are not old enough nor have the experience to be logical or constrained to the extent that an adult is. Children don't see ghosts any more than adults do - they're just less able to distinguish fact from fantasy. Furthermore it's irresponsible to propagate this myth - it scares children, it scares adults and it's pure unfounded speculation that has absolutely no validity.

A partial quote from you DB.
Quote: | Children have active imaginations and are not old enough nor have the experience to be logical or constrained to the extent that an adult is.

Because a child has no logic of what he or she is experiencing may actually be a truthful experience on their behalf.
Yes, children do have active imaginations as well as adults.
But children are to an extent still pure to the fact of possibly this type of experience.
Maybe it is a blessing that they do not have this logic to dilute what they have seen.
I as well as others here on the forum I'm sure,
have had a personal experience or have had one of our own (as in children, nephews, nieces etc.)
had a like experience of seeing something which is amiss, that we cannot explain.
Personally I believe that yes, they may have seen something.....due to factuality or an active imagination.
Who are we to say?
You can put scientific reasoning to everything in life I believe, but that does not give us an absolute
answer to any of these questions.
