My Two Recent Experiences

I have been to a Spiritualist Church twice over the past few months and to be honest I haven't been too impressed!

The first told me lots of info that I couldn't relate to, names I didn't recognise etc.
He then began to mention Wicca (I am not Wiccan, but have pagan beliefs) Stonehenge and New Agey stuff...after spotting the pentacle around my neck!
I wasn't very impressed!

The most recent left me feeling quite deflated, if I had been feeling down, I would have been left feeling very depressed. Again nothing matched, no names were given.

Can I ask, are mediums supposed/allowed to give very negative info? I know with tarot readers that they are not supposed to and I never would myself.

I may be visiting a different church in the near future, but where the medium in on stage, not one to one.

(I will go back to this church though as they have different mediums different weeks for one to one readings. They too once a week have a stage medium)

hi kaz,
id say that the first medium you mention was reading signs from you such as your necklace.
the 2nd one i dont know.
was you wearing the pentacle again?
i find some ignorant people will automatically put 1+1 together and get 3 if they see a pentacle.
what frame of mind was you in with the sittings too?
who was before and after you too?
do you know the punters who were?
the mediums might have been fledglins and lacking confidence. dont let those two colour your opinion of mediums in general.
they come in all types, some better than others.
if i was you id go to the services and hope i would get picked from the crowd for the few moments they allow each person. then if they got stuff you could accept ask for a private reading with them after the service. that way you are vetting them before dishing out lots of money. church services are generaly donations. readings cost lots dont they.

I definately feel that the first medium could not tune in. I actually saw his expression change when he spotted my pentacle and the questions he then asked were so predictable!
Strange how the other medium didn't mention New Agey stuff to me, yes, I had taken off my pentacle before I went in.
I believe that sometimes spirits do not come through for whatever reason, but I would much prefer the medium telling me this instead of 'blagging' which I definately feel the first one did!

Hey Kaz,
Some mediums will be incredibly vague, I find, in order to reel you in. Most people don't let it worry them though, as they'll grasp onto whatever tidbits they can glean something out of. I've been to a few mediums, and I find that some of them will connect with your loved ones and some just don't. Just as when you sometimes see a specific psychic and you don't have a really good connection.

Personally, what I would do is research some Mediums online and see what you can find...even if they live a distance away, they can still do medium work over the phone. And I think that is the best affirmation that you can recieve, because they can't see you.

The most common resume format is the chronological where you list your most recent job first and go back.

There is another format called a "Functional Resume" in which you list the skills you have and the job where you used those skills. You don't put dates on that part. Then at the end you just list your jobs, with dates, chronologically.

There are also mixed formats.
