Hi, kinda new to the whole ghost concept but heres my story, sorry it's kinda long.
I am really a true skeptic about a lot of stuff. In Jul 2005 my dad passed away and about 3 months later I started having creepy experiences which up until last night I could dismiss as nothing.
The first thing to happen is that my partners ring would get moved whenever she took a shower to her dresser, at first I didn't believe and so I checked the ring was there next time she went in and sure enough it was moved with no possibility of her doing this.
Next during an argument a glass full of water got thrown and burst against a wall, an hour later the letters "TTFN" were clearly there in water, strangely my father spent his last 2 years constantly in chat rooms, I even joined him sometimes and this was a common parting phrase for him.
Then there were the times i woke up and thought i saw something, his happened so much, me and my partner dismissed this tho, mind pays tricks when tired etc.
So then in 2008 we moved into a new flat and this is where things got freaky for me. Again waking and thinking theres something there and a couple new experiences.
We have a glass door in house to separate 2 rooms, I talked to my partner Through this with no reply then i hear the bathroom and found she was in there, the figure was like her tho i only saw the back.
2 handprints appearing in the bathroom while the shower was running, the handprints were way too small for either one of us.
All that I could have dismissed somehow, being a skeptic but last night really freaked me out.
I had a bad dream and woke and saw something, however it didn't vanish. I prodded my partner to confirm I was awake I turned away and looked again and kept opening myeyes to make sure I was awake.
I saw a dolls face looking at me it remained there for 20-30 seconds.
I am a bit freaked being a skeptic, but it does seem I'm seeing more stuff as time goes on,I don't do drugs in any form not even painkillers.
So could i be imagining this stuff or is it finally maybe time to conceed that this stuff may be real? |

Welcome to the forums.. seems like Dad is there to let you know he is around and ok. Best thing you could do is next time the ring is moved let Dad know you know he is there and ok, thank him for letting you know this. He may just quit and move on.. |

hi, welcome to the forums
maybe all he wants is your aknowledgment that he is there and that your aware of this, most of the time when you do aknowledge they are there they will leave you alone
try it what harm can it do |

Thanks, never thought of it this way, will try it. Regarding dolls face, no he didn't collect dolls, I was starting to think, when my dad first passed, as we were close, maybe my perception altered somewhat as I didn't want him to be gone.
It's maybe possible other stuff comes with that, or maybe I just like the film Stir of Echoes too much lol, anyways thanks for the advice guys :D |

Hey soz been off for a while, well the handprint incident was strange. My partner was in the shower and after there were 2 handprints (in water) on the wall.
They were both right hand and the logical explanation was my partner touching the wall after.
However when we fitted our hands to the prints both were way too big whichever angle we tried and believe me I tried loads. Also they were kind of low on the wall and my partner didn't trip or anything on the way out.
Interestingly enough just finding out this place has had like 6 residents in a year before us.
As a skeptic I'd really like to say theres all a good reason but can't quite get it.
Happy to say nothing since the dolls face though so I'm calmer now at least :D |

Hmmmm. I wonder if they also had a similar experience as you and your partner?
Would there be any chance you could contact any of the past
occupants and ask them if they too had some strange occurrences happen? |

If anything else does occur Royal, we would all be
interested to hear of it.

Hey guys, sorry for the delay, had some minor water problems had to stay in b and b's for a while. About the other residents, one does have red letters coming here and debt collectors turning up for them even a year after, but just one, and seems the others are untraceable.
The only thing I've learned about the flat since is that it has a history of water getting in and soaking everything up to an inch deep, but thats resolved now, and that it use to be a shop some years back.
Okay now some more weird stuff, I'm seeing things again and not from waking up either. I can be on the computer or watching tv in bed not even sleepy and I'll see something, when I look at it to try and see what it is it goes.
Some spots in the flat are becoming extremely cold, we have one window and it's nice weather at the moment, but even so we can shut the window and theres no ventilation but one spot can remain cold, this won't always be the same place.
Tonight I could swear I smelt something strange kinda like roses, mixed with a watery scent, freshwater, like a river.
And, last of all this may be my subconscious working overtime but I've seen my father in my dreams.
Has anybody met with anyone passed on in a dream and felt it wasn't just a memory? Mainly asking cos in my normal dreams I usually have no control and they can be totally mad but thats another thread lol.
In these dreams I have control, I'm almost awake, I can touch, smell, it's very real.
Dream 1: Like when I was living with my dad, Just doing the stuff we'd normally do, I suddenly realise it's a dream and start crying knowing he's gone now, he asks me why I'm crying and I tell him he's gone and I kinda wish this wasn't a dream. The reply is quite odd: "I'm sorry, I only brought you here to ease you into this situation".
Dream 2: Standing with my father he asks me what I want answers on, rather than dwelling on the past I ask 2 philosophical questions.
Is there an Afterlife? Reply: Yes (although my father starts to look troubled at giving this reply).
Is there a God? Reply: Well yes, there are gods (emphasis on gods, and now my dad is looking a mixture of afraid, angry and confused).
Dream 3: This was just a nice dream spending some time together and my dad made me aware he wasn't mad at me just I put him on the spot when I could have asked questions on the past which would have been easier, but he didn't blame me. It seemed he wanted me to know everything was good between us.
So anyways, interested to hear of similar experiences, I know there is a high possibility of my mind creating these dreams to remember my dad, but yea at this point going to try being open minded so if anyones had these kinda dreams be good to hear from you, tc all ttfn.
Edit: About being a Skeptic, kinda more open minded these days, I think my skeptic side comes from the large amount of fakes on sites such as youtube, but it seems talking to you guys may be a winner as you don't feel the need to prove ghosts, from what i see on the site you share experiences, whereas youtube ppl want their videos to gain hits etc (this is a compliment to the site sorry if it's taken wrong). |

Good to see you back Royal.
Plumbing problems can be a beast at times.
Wow, three different dreams concerning your Dad...with the invitation for you to ask questions and to have them answered.
Awesome!
You mentioned he looked ill at ease when he answered your philosophical questions.
Do you feel he was answering them without "permission"? (may not be the best word for it)
Was there some unfinished business between the two of you or the family before he passed?
Maybe those are the questions he wanted to answer, to clear up any concerns possibly?
This may not have anything to do with it Royal...
I'm just thinking outside the box. |
