What G force is necessary to trigger an airbag?

A skilled driver can brake a car to stopped with a deceleration of about 1G. So presumably a car airbag would trigger at a much higher G force? Can an airbag be triggered if a car taps your front when reversing out of a car park?

If your driving down the road going 105Kph (or 65mph) and you see a ghost in the middle of the road and you hit it, if the airbag goes off, chance are excellent that it wasn't a ghost..

Don't know the G force to set off an airbag, however, for example, to set off the airbag one would have to drive into a brick wall doing 16-24kph ( or 10-15mph)
