How superstitious are you. Would you live in a property numbered 13 and if not why not - 'because it's unlucky' is not really the answer I'm looking for
Please feel free to elaborate on your answer. |

I would have no problem living in a number 13. No superstitions are borne out by statistics and facts and nearly all of them date back to a time when we didn't have the benefit of science or secular rational thought.

no really it is unlucky - look at knights templars getting ambushed on fri 13 1307, apollo 13 etc... - i avoid it at all costs
my uncle went into the doctors clinic one day and there was a small group standing - he went up and the slip was 13 in the queue, he said he would wait for the next person because he didnt like that number, then found out that the group of people all done the same, in the end the doctor came out and decided to skip 13 go straight to 14 |

You make your own fate to a great degree just as you make your own luck. The number 13 and the superstitions associated with it are exactly that - superstitions IMO of course . It's also largely cultural and what one country may consider unlucky another will not have any issues with.
For example in Chinese and Korean cultures the number is considered very unlucky as is the colour white.
Do we in the west avoid white or have streets with no number 4 in them?.
Events in peoples lives that are perceived as being associated with the number 13 are a simple case of 'counting the hits and ignoring the misses' fallacy.

Interestingly I have heard that the fear of 13 is a common mistake, it's not unlucky for some, it's actually lucky....I will read up again but it's to do with space and orbit. |

What substance Cactus?. What research can you link to that validates that the number 13 is unlucky?.
