No superstitions are borne out by statistics and facts and nearly all of them date back to a time when we didn't have the benefit of science or secular rational thought. DB ... You make your own fate to a great degree just as you make your own luck. The number 13 and the superstitions associated with it are exactly that - superstitions IMO of course . It's also largely cultural and what one country may consider unlucky another will not have any issues with. For example in Chinese and Korean cultures the number is considered very unlucky as is the colour white. Do we in the west avoid white or have streets with no number 4 in them?. Events in peoples lives that are perceived as being associated with the number 13 are a simple case of 'counting the hits and ignoring the misses' fallacy. DB ...
